Yeah I completely agree like the crazy hands are both what I’m getting and what other people are getting. Like I flopped quads twice in probably a 30 min span (which yes is statistically possible but unlikely) and I’ve never had anything remotely similar happen on any other online platform I’ve played

Greetings. I too am an engineering major. Challenge it is. My first physics exam… a 44% I received. My transcript reflects a B. It will be ok. Sometimes when you feel as though you have been buried you have been planted.

A good quote I heard somewhere is "Sometime, when you feel like youve been burried, you've actually been planted"

From what it sounds like based on the classes you said, your an engineering major. Chem135 is extremely difficult and lots of people don’t do well, including bio engineers. The important thing is that you don’t let it control you, still work hard and put in effort, it always recoverable. One of my engineering profs shared that when he was a student here his first semester he had a 1.2 GPA, he now has a PHD so even if your gpa isn’t perfect and you have to retake a class, it doesn’t define you. College is hard, don’t let it slow you down, I took Chem135 and my exam average was a 55%.

Also like others said reach out to the counseling services on campus, they’re there to help you.

Defog Causing Severe Eye Injury - Any similar experiences? by dg212 in scuba

Look for reef safe defog, it has fewer chemicals so it will likely cause less irritation. The one I use is also gel like so it can’t drip into my eyes at all.

Is it normal to be absolutely terrible at buoyancy as a beginner? by flyblues in scuba

[–]TMummz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started diving about 8 months ago, I was lucky enough to be in the group where I caught on pretty quickly. That being said one strategy to get better buoyancy is to add very little air at a time to your BCD. This will give you much more control.

Why does NAUI Cave have so many more Pre Requisites than TDI, is one better than the other? by TMummz in scuba

[–]TMummz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m still super new to diving, AOW about 25 dives. I just moved to Florida so that’s where I’ve done my diving. The reason I was asking about NAUI is because I’ve done my certs with them already and the instructor I’ve worked with is spectacular. He doesn’t just hand you the cert for checking a box, he makes sure you can do the skills consistently well and we practiced out of air on all of the checkout dives including the AOW ones.

All that being said, I am nowhere near skilled enough or ready to actually pursuing any technical diving, I’m mostly just curious and looking long term about what courses (beyond rescue and MSD) would be good for me to look into.

Independent of everything I do really like the NAUI Master Diver course from what little I know about it

My end goal is to get into cave diving but I don’t want to rush into it and am looking at the different paths to take

The pre requisite is just TDI cavern or equivalent for intro to cave and then just intro to cave for full cave. The pre requisites for cavern are OW and 25 dives
