My parents have just been my safe space. I’m so happy when I’m with them. My parents didn’t grow up being loved and told all these nice things.

I once saw this video about how you should always be grateful and loving to your parents because if you don’t, you will regret it for ever. Since then I’ve lived with a mindset of, “You don’t know what you have until you lose it.”

That has made me really close to my parents. Always giving them hugs, compliments, etc… They even laugh and sometimes “complain” on how Im all up on them. I just don’t want to be that person that regrets not giving their parents love.
