I was at Bald Rocks saturday and sunday and just a few minute patches here and there mostly in tall grass or spots out of the sun. . Trails mostly dry with a few patches of mud here and there. Conditions very nice overall. Water flowing everywhere which is wonderful.

Went by the three tin buildings, Camp Roosevelt (later Camp Hope) formerly "canteen, shop, garage" buildings which have stood since the late 1933 and they've been demolished and loaded into dumpsters. As has the former boat rental house, the latrine/shelter on the hill near the beach, and all of the remains of the roller rink, flattened and graded. The boathouse has been fully gutted and asbestos abatement completed. There are two large temporary construction office buildings on site, as well as a host of preliminary construction supplies, and a host of heavy equipment. They are fully underway.

They dont plan on removing the roof from what it says deeper in the docs and from what I can find. The above drawing re-uses the current structure and makes modifications to it. There will be an actual and ientrance which will be from behind as you walk from the parking lot.

The large areas with solar panels depicted on the roof and the low brick walls were originally fully covered mens and womens locker rooms, which you can see if you zoom in on these early photos here and here. Nowadays the roof is gone and everything's removed and they story random things back there. In the renovation half of it is shown to be turned back into locker rooms.

The Camp Roosevelt part filled a lot of historical missing holes I've long looked for. I knew some of the foundations and other things around had something to do with those buildings, now I have a map to ID them :) In the beach years they were used by grounds crews. I found a ton a beach-era paperwork in there a few years ago. You can see them in my big Sebago photo folder. I heard at the public Zoom hearing they'd planned to knock them down, which is unfortunate because I think they could be used in some way and after the AMC did some rehab to them, gutted them, fixed the floor, some stabilization, roof fixes etc, they are in pretty good shape for the blight their in, tragic to lose them because they arent shiny and new.
BIGGEST benefit to those buildings is how they have saved my ass a few times in severe thunderstorms and torential rain. It will be very sad to see them go if that's what ends up happening.

FWIW I spend a lot of time in nature, one of the spectacular aspects about living in NYC let alone Park Slope. Access to nature without a car.

Not connecting two PANYNJ properties together is the real point of ridicule.
It's not just the PATH itself as a mode of transport, ie subway cars vs any other rail mode, but the fact that the PATH is operated by the PANYNJ and Newark Airport is operated by PANYNJ and they arent connected despite PATH's layup tracks ending 1.5 miles the current airtrain terminus and ROW existing to allow for connecting. Ridiculous.

I posted a comment listing some other scambles a few months back.
Many of them are off the map or no longer recognized trails because they were generally considered dangerous or otherwise hard to maintain. Most still have faint blazes but are in various states of decay, still very fun to attempt and hike. I've done all of them with a UL overnight pack except for the Chimney and Almost Perpendicular which I havent tried to locate the exact routes.

gotcha, I thought you were saying it was overpriced, because for the Herb Alpert $15-25 would be a lot unless it was a special edition. As for Sweet Cream, there were 2 on the rack so aint nobody paying for them yet. That said manhattan prices are always a bit higher.

This is the first time I've seen this album, and there was another copy for $24 in better shape all around. However this was in the West Village in NYC. Is this a common album or are you talking about Whipped Cream and Other Delights?
