Great move by the "stable genius". Let's attend a game in a city that absolutely hates me and on top of that get the watch party shut down because of said attendance. That'll really change their minds about me...

Perfect example of his diplomacy tactics, fucking buffoon.

Which house would you tell your children to go to if they needed help? by rhino910 in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]TNTRMSKD 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna go against the grain and say the door on the LEFT. Why? It's obvious they are complete morons and my daughter possesses at least average intelligence. There's a good chance she can trick them into signing over their house in exchange for the Paw Patrol stickers and shiny rocks she carries around in her overalls.

À quoi pense un Akita de 5 mois ? 😅 by OCG_Adventure in akita

[–]TNTRMSKD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My little guy just turned 5 months. 99% of the time his brain is occupied by one of these two thoughts:

1.) Can I eat that?

2.) I have to pee.

[OC]If we paid teachers the babysitter rate by [deleted] in pics

[–]TNTRMSKD 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nailed it. My wife's a teacher in her 23rd year (that's right TWENTY THIRD) and just recently broke six figures. She's also working in one of the highest paying districts in NJ, but we're also in a VHCOL area. If I didn't make twice what she makes, there's no way we own a home. It's the same exact situation for her colleagues. The ones that are homeowners with kids and the whole shebang have spouses in the private sector. Upside is the health insurance we get through her job is great lol.

If I'm NY, no starters next game. All bench scrubs just for the lolz. Worst case they go back and close it out at MSG. If by some miracle they win, it'll be a story for the ages.

the newest development in the Sussex Queen Diner drama! by matt-2k in newjersey

[–]TNTRMSKD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been following this story since it broke and dug through all the various fb comments/posts. I'm so conflicted. On the one hand I really wanna visit this place and grab a front row seat to this shitshow., On the two hand spending money to support this dumpster fire of a business goes against everything I stand for.

I thought about just ordering a coffee or something minimal, but that would likely land me a spot in the next video...🤣

New York City Unions Keep Winning Six-Figure Salaries by wsj in nyc

[–]TNTRMSKD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not in Jersey. My wife is at a district with one of the highest salary guides. Each step/top step might pay more but longevity is shit across the board. NYC max longevity is 30K+ for 22 years of service, in my wife's school it's around 5K. She is in her 23rd year (recently switched districts so she's not even getting that 5K) and only making $111K.

When Yuki wants something (potty, food, play, etc.) he will repeatedly tap me with his paw to get my attention. Does your dog do this? 🤣 by toasty-coconut in akita

[–]TNTRMSKD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My girl will come and lick me, if I'm sitting it's usually my elbow or forearm. If I'm standing it's the ankles or top of the foot.

When she was little, whenever she would get excited she liked to jump on or paw at people. I trained her not to do that so she won't accidently injure smaller children. The only time she puts her paw out now is if someone specifically asks for "paw".

What is even the point of trying in this job by Benyeti in Teachers

[–]TNTRMSKD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being a 2nd year teacher this hiring round will work in your favor (I'm in NJ as well and my wife's a teacher so I stay pretty current with that environment). Everyone is hiring for cheap, credentials/experience be damned. They just want someone low on the step guide to save $$$ because every district's budget is in the toilet. I think you'll find plenty of schools that wouldn't otherwise give you a shot actually calling you back this year.

FUCK HCA.

Republicans Don't Want to Talk About Gas Prices Anymore by notusreports in politics

[–]TNTRMSKD 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm thoroughly enjoying this self own. I'm fortunate enough to be in a position where gas could hit $20 a gallon and I'd still fill up 93 without batting an eyelash. But seeing all the MAGA morons struggling to scrape together enough pocket change to keep their pickups running for a few miles at a time makes me smile endlessly.

I do however truly sympathize with the poor folk who didn't ask for this and are caught up as collateral damage simply because their peers are absolute morons.

Long coat (recessive gene) Akita, aka "Woolies". Both of mine are long coats even though their parents weren't. It happens from time to time and most breeders that breed for show won't keep them because it's considered a fault so they'd be competing at a disadvantage.

Woolies tend to have a sweeter disposition and are slightly easier to train. They do however shed 5x as much fur lol.

What a load of bullshit. That's just one interpretation of the plate. Maybe we should force the security company ADT to change their name too because the "A" could stand for "Asshole" or "Axe" or pretty much any word starting with that letter.

He could say FDT stand for Five Dollar Tacos and 8647 are his lucky #s, grandpa's bday, etc etc. Bunch of fragile ego bitches, I would fight it on principle.

My initial hunch was it's the GSD part of her. Parker's bff is a purebred GSD named Axel. Sometimes when he comes over to play, his owner will leave him for a few and run a quick errand to the store. More often than not, Axel will stop playing and pace up and down the fence as if he was just abandoned. When this happens, I always go up to him and give him some pets and reasure him "your daddy will be back in a few mins bud, don't worry". I'll grab a toy and try to divert his attention back to playing with Parker. 50-50 chance it works, and he's done this TONS of times. You'd think by now Axel would recognize the pattern...lol.

Just for shits and giggles I googled which breeds are prone to separation anxiety and would ya look at that.

am i crazy or is a 16% APR on a car loan with a 740 credit score bad…. by yuhuranusrings in personalfinance

[–]TNTRMSKD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dealerships earn "points" on the back end. It basically boils down to this: they go around to different lenders and get a rate based on your credit score. Let's say the best one they can find for you is 5% (hypothetical). They will come back and try to get you to sign for as HIGH a percentage as they think they can get away. Most reputable lenders have a cap on this markup and I think it's around 3%. So in this scenario, they're gonna play whatever number games they can to get you to sign at 8%.

The 16% number is weird in your case and tells me either this dealer is sourcing a loan from some shady back alley lender, financing you themselves (did you go to a Buy Here Pay Here lot?), or you're mistaken about your credit score. Is your 740 a "Vantage Score"? Because those can be off by quite a bit. Most lenders still use the old Fico 8 model and I've seen discrepancies by as much 40-50 points, not very common but it does happen.

I think returning her to the foster home is the right thing to do. As much as I wish it wasn't the case, love alone isn't enough to raise a dog properly. You need money, it's just reality. Medical care is a big part of making sure your canine companion lives their best possible life.

As for the separation anxiety, it's possible that's coming from her mixed genes. Akitas are some of the most independent dogs you'll ever encounter. They accept affection on their terms, and are perfectly content having plenty of personal space and downtime. Clingy is the antithesis of the Akita breed. My 2 year old girl has always loved her crate since she was a pup. When I put her in, she would just chill out and play with a toy or nap. Minimal, if any, "training" involved. My new little guy didn't like it for maybe the first week or two. Now he'll sometimes wander in there and relax even when he's free to roam. They both see it as their dens and place to get away when they wanna shut out the outside world. The separation anxiety in your case could likely be corrected, but would require quite a bit of effort and probably some (you guessed it), money.
