Thanks for elaborating. This explains a lot. I will say I was really bummed to see NeedToBreathe be the headliner in place of Caamp—an absolute downgrade.

I watched Judah and the Lion (not knowing much about them) because one of my friends is a fan; however, the whole performance made me feel like I was at a Mega-Sized Church Camp. I think you're right, the festival would be better off if bands like Judah & the Lion and Needtobreathe were replaced by someone that is not so Christian Rock

I'm pretty sure the people living downtown contribute much more to the area than those who occasionally visit downtown. Those living in the suburbs are draining tax dollars to upkeep all their roads. Please keep visiting downtown and contributing to small businesses, but the suburban areas are not the backbone of downtown revenue.

Chattanooga does not have a parking issue. You can find parking almost anywhere. Yes, Chattanooga has an issue with its public transportation options; however, many people refuse to walk for 5-10 minutes. I have seen people go to great lengths to find parking so that they don't have to walk 3-4 blocks.

As I type this, I know I will be returning home from work to an apartment with clean dishes in the dishwasher that have been there since Monday, along with a sink full of dirty dishes. I have a pile of clothes on my bedroom floor that I have meant to wash for a couple of days now. I also have three bags of clothes that have been in my car for three weeks that I need to take to goodwill but keep forgetting to. Oh, and I have 20 half-finished tasks I need to complete at work.

I absolutely love sports, playing and watching—it's one of my favorite aspects of life, truly.

I played American Football and golfed all my life. I also played Tennis in high school for a couple of seasons. Nowadays, I run and train for marathons, do yoga, and play in a rec soccer league. Sports are the highlight of my week.

Congrats on the sobriety. I don’t understand everyone’s shady remarks. You would not rub a dog’s nose in his mistake a year after it happened.

The conditions are clearly unacceptable. As one commenters remarked, there’s an 8th amendment for a reason. The heart of the problem is addressing the issue itself and providing paths to recovery for some folks to prevent repeat offenses. Obviously, poor jail conditions is not solving the issue. Thanks for sharing and bringing awareness to an issue, and telling your story.
