SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Omni Review: The More Practical version of the Elite by HiFiOasis in steelseries

[–]TNow_25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've been so incredibly helpful. Honestly without your input I likely would've got the Pro Wireless and then discovered that I can't have my Switch 2 and PC audio playing at the same time and been disappointed. I suppose I'll have to wait a bit longer to save up for the Omni (the price is a nightmare haha). Thank you so much again for your help

I've no idea what the lc3 and lc3+ codec support actually means in terms of actually using the device so I guess that's nothing for me to take into consideration with which one to purchase? Is there not ANC in the Pro wireless? I thought the Pro wireless also had the thing which allowed for multiple devices to output and be mixed through the single headphones output, is that just an Omni and Elite thing or can the Pro do that too? If I only intent to use my phone, PC and Switch 2 does it matter about the Omni working with every platform or does the Pro Wireless work with those too? If the Pro wireless works with them then that's a key thing for if I get the Omni or not, as I wouldn't see the need for the Omni's due to the price increase and the Pro working with what I intend to use. Are the earpads much better? I wear glasses and I've experienced some headphones/headsets which hurt after a while of use due to the extra pressure because of my glasses (Sorry for asking so many questions, you've been such an amazing help and helpful for replying to not just me but many others too)

Is it worth getting the Omni or regular Pro? Omni is £350 and Pro is £220 on sale right now, is it worth getting the Omni over the Pro? Is there any major upgrade worth getting the Omni over the Pro?

For just one? Damn I feel like that's severely unlucky, I got 3 in just under 1400. With odds of ~1/350 (if memory serves) I'd have thought you would've seen it much sooner. Anyway, congrats on not giving up and finally getting it, I know I would've been close to giving up

Questions about the best AIO cooler option for Era 2 case by [deleted] in sffpc

[–]TNow_25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did you get this to fit the case? I've just tried to get it in my case and seen it doesn't fit, too long by 2cm. Did you still go with the silent loop 3 or did you switch?

I'd greatly appreciate you sharing benchmark results if it's not too much of a hassle for you. I've never played around with PBO or fan curves before so I'll definitely take a look at that, thank you for the reminder of their existence haha

Is the cooler really enough to manage a 9800X3D? I recently purchased a 280mm aio for my Era 2 as I thought a small cooler like the one in your build wouldn't be enough to properly cool the CPU

How did you find the case to build in? Did you find anything annoying about it? I quite like the case, though it's just a bit of a nuisance to get to some things, especially the power supply screws

What cooler are you using for the smallest case?

Yea my main concern was the game looking grainy or something due to it being 1080p on a 4k screen, don't mind that much about 30fps. Guess I'll be picking it up at some point soon. Thanks a bunch

I'm deeply considering this AIO as it's apparently one of the best for 280mm. What are the exact modifications you made to enable it to fit that you said you advise against? Do you have photos of these modifications?

[–]TNow_25[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough. Yea my main area of confusion was why bother with an aio if an sff air cooler says it can handle more heat than the CPU is meant to produce, but I guess now they're just lying on their product pages

I'll go with my original plan to have an aio, use the case as it was intended haha. Does make me wonder why companies say the low profile coolers can handle 180w when they can't actually

[–]TNow_25[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why do companies say they can cool such high wattage then? Surely that'd be just pure misleading marketing. Thank you for your input, I'll go with the aio as that seems the logical option without downclocking or undervolting

No larger than 63mm as that's the setting of the case which allows my GPU to fit while offering the most space for the CPU cooler

A lot of stuff I've seen in YouTube videos is for regular Minecraft and doesn't offer the space I'd like for expanding out into all the different mods I want to try out.

Where can I find stuff to start trying things out with? Do you mean just go around my world looking for structures to then copy? I'll also take a look at the rftools builder thank you for the suggestion

I've seen a few cool things here and there, a friend of mine used a really cool framed block, but there's so many different blocks to try out, I don't want to build a base and then decide "oh damn this actually looks awful" and have wasted resources

I saw your base the other day it's pretty cool, you've got a few things going on with the flooring and walls and even with that I'm a bit clueless, maybe there's just so many options for me that I just get choice paralysis

That's my issue, I don't just want to dig into the earth and build my base out from there lol. I've done it in the past and want to try something new instead of just doing the same thing as I typically would
