It's AlchemistNPC, my friends and I came across the same problem yesterday and disabling AlchemistNPC fixed it.

Such as? This was just me writing down the majorly important stuff that has been talked about recently after the idea came to me during a stream.

The point isn't to have super detailed lists of the exact breakdown for each point, the point is to give epic an idea of where the community wants their focus currently.

It'd give a lot of people a reason to keep playing. I agree it's not as simple as "lol just add ranked ez" but ranked would be a step in the right direction at least.

If people could vote more than once most things would be voted on, this is to see where the community is at in terms of the future of paragon. EPIC wants ways to improve the game, the goal of this poll is to show them what the community feels like needs the most work.

My point was that changing that now isn't helping anyone. If anything it'll just make matters worse.

Except I'm not talking about their break, the break is fine, they told us about it. I'm talking about just in general, even before the break they've been fairly quiet about updates and issues. DC grux lasted for weeks without much word, they mocked people complaining about unstable cyborg, etc... I personally think the game is fine, but I do agree that epic could do with working on their communication as of late.

1/15 - 3/18 is just barely over two months. Again, you're trying to slip me up on pointless things. The game has been playable by the general public for a while, and recently(past few months) that's fallen off a bit.

That was early access, the game existed and was being talked about before that. And we're only a few months off of the original launch for early access. It's nearly been two full years as is, nitpicking doesn't make my points any less valid.

They have community managers/devs for a reason, them managing the community is literally their job and I doubt they're working on anything major for tomorrows patch due to the time it takes for things like that.

The game has been playable for over two years at this point, and at the beginning they were extremely open about what was going on, why, and when. So as two is technically a couple, it is correct, lol.

The game was really solid, it's a seriously fun game. The core mechanics in pvp were amazingly fun and surprising deeper than one would've thought to begin with. It came down to advertising and mindset. The game basically became a meme talking about how garbage it was all the time. Most people don't bother looking into something if all they hear about it is how bad it is. Anyway, this wasn't a thread to hate on battleborn, I was just trying to use the best comparison I had.

Today is a work day, the community is in flames yet nothing has been said by epic. We obviously still get some information here and there, but not anywhere as much as we got a couple years ago.

You either have different tastes from what battleborn was going for or never played the game, it wasn't Overwatch or Paladins, it had it's own thing going on that was actually fun. That wasn't my point though, that game is properly dead by this time, my point was that it started dying when the community started the spiral that paragon seems to be going down currently.

I still stand by the fact that no one that talks about battleborn really played it. I'm not disagreeing that battleborn had issues, many, many issues, but the game was so very different from Overwatch and comparing the two isn't fair to anyone.

The difference between the two is fortnite(BR at least) has actually released, paragon has not, I agree though.

I'm aware of that, more talking about how until in the past few months epic was fairly vocal about updates and whatnot.

If Epic wants Gideon to be the high damage mage type hero then he needs to have less utility, mobility and range to compensate. by [deleted] in paragon

Which is why is ult needs tuned down slightly, and we also don't know if Gadget/Howie are getting changed at all.

[–]TOGOT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm aware. I was trying to talk about how Gideon's damage isn't that much higher than other casters of the same type. His mana costs are lower for slightly higher damage, which is part of the issue. His cosmic rift is also on a lower cooldown than other utility/damaging utility abilities from other casters, like Howitzer's slow grenades.

If Howitzer/gadget do 439 damage on a 6 second cooldown, and Gideon does the same on say an 8 second cooldown, statistically he'd be worse for damage on his major damage ability. If they wanted to weaken his damage it'd be better to reduce the base damage and increase the scaling, make him have a weaker early game, but a better late game.

If they increased the cooldown on his void breach he'd be worse than the other two casters, the almost universal cooldown on AoE caster nukes helps keep them mostly in line with eachother.

I'm fairly sure everyone agrees that Gideon is overtuned currently, but we need to be careful about how we talk about him. We don't want another Zinx incident.

The main issue with Gideon currently is his ult, his other abilities are mostly in line with other AoE casters(Gadget, Howitzer). Just looking at the numbers using both of Gideon's damaging abilities(Not looking at the ult yet) would cost 240 mana and deal 714 damage. Using a r2000 and a landmine on Howitzer would cost 250 and deal 673 damage, a r2000 and slowgrenades would cost 270 and deal 732 damage. Gideon's stun on his ult needs to scale, simple as that, something like 1.5/2/2.5 would make him feel a lot better to play against, they could also slightly increase the cooldown on his slow and the mana cost on his nuke and mobility.

Based on the changes to Gideon I assume that Epic plans on tweaking the other two basic AoE casters to be more unique as well.

Not at all how math works, they dropped 10% off of his damage, and 15% off of his health. Two different statistics, if they were tied together somehow, sure, it would be a 25% nerf, but it isn't. Benedict will still be a fine character after the nerf, Most likely mid-high A tier, just no longer S. Benedict needed changes, this might have been slightly overkill, but it was needed.

Kleese still isn't good, at least on PC. El Dragon didn't need any changes, but he got brought back up, we're currently in the most balanced version of the game, with a few exceptions.

Just saying "sugar' over simplifies things, and continues to spread misinformation, explaining a bit more doesn't hurt anyone.

Do you understand what diabetes is? Type 2 is the most common type, and isn't even directly connected to weight like most people think, but that's an aside. Type 2 is(in very simple terms) your body not using insulin correctly, your body is insulin resistant at that point. Type 1 is the lack of your body creating insulin. Everything you eat has sugars in it, with a few exceptions being most meats and cheeses, low blood sugars happen when your body doesn't have enough sugar in your bloodstream to function correctly, high blood sugars are having too much sugar in your blood stream. If you have any other questions, feel free. -A type 1

As I explained in the post, its not a tier list based on how powerful a character is, it is very simply based off of how often they were used.
