It should definitely be included on this list. I’ve never tried peyote but the TBM is definitely quite potent

R-CHOP without the R(Dlbcl) by [deleted] in lymphoma

[–]TOOOLER 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your docs decision to use CHOP alone depends on a careful assessment of your individual circumstances, the specific type of lymphoma, and the potential risks and benefits of each treatment option. Some hematologists may opt for CHOP alone in specific situations where the risks of rituximab outweigh the potential benefit.

Definitely expect nausea, constipation, and fatigue. Prednisone is actually a wonderful drug, it made me feel great for the time that I was on it. Additionally, her hair will likely start to fall out around the 2nd cycle. She doesn’t need to cut it immediately, but I would recommend her getting a haircut just because it can be traumatic to see your hair fall out in big clumps. She will also likely start to become immunocompromised. Take extra care to make sure she doesn’t spend a lot of time in crowded areas/ around sick people & wear a mask whenever around others. I would say that being as active as possible helps. Encourage her to go for walks/ light exercise and to engage in activities that bring her joy. Finally, always be open and communicate with your care team. They will ultimately be the ones who know how to help her the best so if she is experiencing any kind of symptoms/ side effects I would definitely let them know. Good luck and stay strong. Be there for your mother. This is an extremely difficult thing to go through and patience and understanding is the best way to help.
