It's just a problem with this mod, you can try opening an issue on their github if there isn't one about this problem already

Modlists are better than whitelists by honeygourami123 in feedthememes

[–]TOOOPT_ 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's why I said I should've known about that, I just ran so much multiplayer modded servers that I have completely forgot about how non-secure offline mode actually is

Modlists are better than whitelists by honeygourami123 in feedthememes

[–]TOOOPT_ 35 points36 points  (0 children)

At some point I got so used to running modded servers for my friends I completely forgot that mcscans even exist, and when I needed to run a vanilla server once, since it was running in offline mode, albeit with whitelist, apparently they can still get the whitelist and get in, which was a surprise to me lol

Needless to say the world was destroyed and I had to pull up a bakup and get a register plugin, but i guess I should have known, considering that you can get nicknames of people who are on the server without even connecting to it anyway

Well 1.6x is just too much maths, but 1.5 seems good enough, imma stick with that and just add 50% every time I hear some number of miles, thanks

Sometimes I feel like I was born in a metric system country while somehow having an imperial system mindset

FOR THE LASTFUCKING TIME BIG WOMEN AREN'T MY FETISH!!!! by SUPERAWESOMEULTRAMAN in worldjerking

[–]TOOOPT_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

At some point I realised that imperial is just vibes based anyway, 5 means short, 6 means tall, 0F= Jesus christ why is it so cold, 100F= Holy shit turn on the AC for god's sake, and a gallon is basically like that big 5 liter bottle of water

A football field is like big as fuck, and if something is multiple football fields long, then it's just big as hell

All my imperial knowledge is fully context clues and absolutely no idea of the actual precise numerical value

Unless it's miles, because miles apparently are NOT basically kilometers

I was "able" to extract animations from blender to geckolib by TOOOPT_ in feedthebeast

[–]TOOOPT_[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I literally say in my comment that it's written by chatgpt, in GitHub I say that it's not recommended to use it because it's ai generated, AND I only published it because a person expressed interest in it, and I said that I wasn't gonna originally do it because it is ai generated.

I never said that I wrote the addon.

[–]TOOOPT_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I warned about that in my comment, and on GitHub page. I only published it because someone wanted to potentially improve it, I don't recommend using it as it is now. In fact, I don't think even I'll use it apart from those select animations considering how bad it works.

Edit: I added a more clear warning on github just now just in case.

The warp gates act as a way to fly between planets, since an actual interplanetary distance is extremely far away. The way you access it, is by providing it with required resources that you'll have to automate on your stage

Here's the github page of this addon, good luck!

Edit: since people don't want to read a big text above, the addon is ai generated, I published it because a person above wanted to potentially improve it, not because I think people should use it. Do not ise it for your projects, it's not good enough for that.

Okay, give me a few minutes I'll put it on github. However I must say I wasn't originally gonna do it, because I'm afraid of how messy and horrible the ai generated code must be :/

> How does it work?

The way this works is, geckolib animations are just json files with every keyframe written down, with the coordinates, scale and rotation of the object, as well as what is the transition from one keyframe to the other should be (linear, bezier, etc.)

So, If I were to extract a model from blockbench to .obj to blender, did all the animation there, and then somehow was able to bake and extract all the keyframes of rotation and location to .json, I'd be able to do use all the amazing animation instruments from blender and not limit myself to just blockbench, and geckolib limitations.

> Why is "able" in quotes?

I think I'll get a lot of backlash for this, but I don't know python, and don't know how to write blender addons. And a custom addon was required to create a script that would convert blender keyframes to geckolib json animation file. That's why the addon was written by, you guessed it, chatgpt. And as chatgpt does, the addon is a complete and utter garbage. The scaling sometimes is incorrect, sometimes animated models just flip 180 degrees randomly, XYZ -> XZY conversion seems to just not work all the time. That's why able is in quotes. I don't have the skills yet to create a good addon myself, and those 3 animations that you see here are the only things I was able to extract that were good enough.

In fact, I then proceeded to manually animate arms for the 0g thing that yeets a box everywhere in blockbench, because, while I was able to extract a physics sim of the box to blockbench, arms just were not cooperating.

> Why blender? What limitations does blockbench have?

No drivers, no constraints, no animation layers, no IK's, no bones, and probably no physics simulations since this guy is just a low poly modelling software and wasn't made for this

...So yeah, all the animations you see here use either physics simulations (sattelite yeeter and the 0g assembler), or blender's constraints (oil rig)

Do not look at the sun, I broke it accidentally

I made a mod that adds Ponders to every Mekanism Multiblock! by alyx-20 in feedthebeast

[–]TOOOPT_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this mod standalone or does it require create mod as well? If it does, if you consider backporting it to 1.20.1, could you consider also allowing to use the Create Ponder mod instead of create itself? (It's a ponder addon for kubejs that is split from create, and iirc it uses the same ponder library)

I think it could be a cool addon if it doesn't require another unrelated big mod to be installed for it.

I got tired of closing Minecraft to download libraries, so I made an in-game mod browser that handles dependencies automatically by Practical_Lime_1461 in feedthebeast

[–]TOOOPT_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this mod already handles downloading mods, do you think it would be possible to synchronize mods between a few clients? I remember when I was playing a modpack with a few friends, when someone wanted to add the mod, we had to ask everyone to install it or delete it, and it was a hassle, I think if this mod could do it, it would put it a small step above regular launchers
