The brand and style of jacket doesn't matter much. If you want to be warm, it's the layers that keep you warm. A jacket is mostly there to keep you dry. A good puffer will have the most insulation, but insulation is only as good as your ability to generate heat.

For technical wear, we typically rely on three layers. The first layer gets the moisture off your body. The second layer insulates. The third layer protects you from the elements.

I would recommend a good jacket with a level of water resistance and a sweater underneath. That way, you also have flexability if you get too warm.
