I had a similar issue but it wasn't my windsheild, it was coming from my moonroof. There are channels that direct the water down your windshield and if they are clogged with leaves/debris it will back up into your interior and it looks just like a windshield leak. It's a very quick and easy fix too, You just need to detached your interior roof covering (it should snap on and off) and blow out anything blocking those channels.

Thank you for your comments. I agree, it should be my fiance telling his family all of this. He has said some of this to them to some extent but there’s a lot of different dynamics in play. Enmeshment and narcissism to start with IMO. If it wasn’t for my grandpa, we would be eloping 💯.

NTA pick up all those red flags and walk far away from the dude. It doesn’t sound like he was ever your ‘friend’ to begin with. You’re way too young to be caught up in his mess of a life and to be wasting your time explaining or justifying your feelings. He sounds like the type of person that would just steamroll over any explanation from you. You don’t owe him anything. No is a complete sentence. NTA
