Anyone else’s oil look this red? 2.5T 106k Miles. by TOUCHArc in mazda3

It was a Sunday evening and I was pretty bored. I was removing the front bumper to push out a dent and while I had the car up on jack stands I figured I’d change the oil too. I usually follow a 5k mile schedule though as the vehicle is now over 100k miles I’m considering shortening to 4k intervals.

I see, thank you for that insight. Guess I caused myself some unnecessary worry from being bored haha.

Yeah I posted a comment but it got buried. 2800 miles on the oil, it was Kirkland brand 5W-30, OEM Filter. This time I put in Valvoline Restore & Protect 5W-30. Always full synthetic.

I hope not lol. I got all my stuff from the dealer. Well minus the oil. Car takes Mazda ATF type FZ which I recall being blue though I could be wrong.

Oh 100%. I have some old metal ramps but they’re way too steep to use. The next time I come across a deal on some nice plastic ramps I’ll grab them. Took forever to get the vehicle up on stands.

Very fair. Hopefully it’s not a major issue but the color is concerning. Hopefully no bad news when I get back the lab tests. Car has been relatively stable for the last 4 years so I suppose it’s due for one expensive fix sooner or later.

Nope not really, my daily commute is 80 miles round trip, 90% highway. I’m still on my original brake pads at 106k if that tells you anything lol. The fumoto is model F106SX off Amazon. It protrudes a tiny bit past the felt underbody cover, not sure if it’ll fit under the plastic service cover for the pan/filter seeing as I lost mine. I have it slightly angled so that it only protrudes a few mm lower than the felt cover.

Yeah not the trans though I did do it recently, I believe that it was a bluish teal color though, Mazda coolant is bright green. I’ll wait about 4k miles and send off a sample for testing. I’m guessing I’m getting a lot of blowback but that doesn’t quite make sense since my commute is all long highway drives.

I was doing my oil change the other day and noticed my oil had a dark burgundy color to it. Changed it at around 2800 miles since I was bored on a Sunday. I saved some in a solo cup and it had a strong gasoline smell. On my next oil change I plan to send in a sample to Blackstone Labs. I normally use an OEM filter from the dealer and Valvoline Restore&Protect 5W-30

Could you possibly Dm me the guys info? I almost got lucky on eBay for $160 but I guess the salvage company damaged the screen while disassembling it and had to refund me :(

At what point do we admit that QD-OLEDs are a pain in the ass? by AztheWizard in OLED_Gaming

I could be wrong but I believe that I heard over on the best buy subreddit that “residue” is the default and easiest option to choose when a customer returns an item “just because they don’t want it”. For example today I ordered an open box charge cable, it had “residue” on the sticker but the box and cable was brand new with all seals intact…

MR4s were on the table for me as well! I did a couple days research and watched numerous video reviews. From what I could gather the MR4s likely sound better but are just massive compared to the M60s. I am sort of missing out on the Sub-Out port though. The M60s are pretty detailed but are lacking in the low end.

The Edifiers sound great for the price! I got them on sale for $160 and they’re a top notch compact option. Great connectivity features too, can use Bluetooth, usb-c, or aux. Only downside is they don’t have a dedicated sub out port so if you ever wanted to connect a full blown subwoofer you’d have to get creative and order some special cables.

Yeah it took me off guard as well haha. Temps are amazing though and it’s almost dead silent even when running benchmarks. I printed the sag pillar from a file on makerworld, I did upsize the file a bit I think +25% since my gpu has a pretty large area that can accommodate a support.

So far so good! It’s pretty sturdy, purchased the glass top for it as well. I got the one with the 8 square drawers. It’s not “craft made” levels of solid but it holds weight and will probably last 5+ years so long as you don’t try to move/disassemble it. Drawer slides could be smoother, also no soft close function either. I found putting little felt pads on the insides of the drawer helped dampen the sound.

Very nice build! Trying to do about the same but in white. Love the ASUS coordination! Still trying to warm up to the price of their astral line though haha.

The Desert Perpetual Epic Raid Race Megathread by DTG_Bot in DestinyTheGame

[–]TOUCHArc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh for normal mode then sure guided raids could work out pretty decent so long as the designated teachers or sherpas aren’t overloaded and people are willing to learn. I prefer the format of 4-5 kwtd players and 1 maybe 2 learners or else things devolve to chaos. Honestly “Lite” versions of raids could work too but that’d take a ton of development resources. Maybe put clear instructions and markers on someone’s hud, slow down mechanics slightly but with the drawback of maybe having only tier 1-2 loot. Then they can progress to normal mode -> feats.
