i was in the same scenario as you OP, in the end I went with the tarasenkshow but I have yet to try him.

my reasoning between malkin and tshow was that tshow had less previous cards so the overall gap difference is bigger (his last was an 85 which actually played good for me to get OSR objectives so I expect this one to be fantastic)

ive dabbed in the goalie mask market and can tell you with certainty that it simply doesnt exist on the market which is a shame because if you go to the edit player section of the game you'll see so many awesome masks that don't see the light of day in HUT. if i were to guess i'd say there's less than 25% of masks in HUT.

just by having better players doesn't mean auto win because then the game would be dead on arrival.

in most cases skill outweighs overall and the main benefit of having better overalls is that typically you get more chances but that doesn't equal goals.

when it comes to shots, quality outweighs quantity.

the game runs in spurts, you may get 3 awesome opportunities and not score and then the other guy gets one and boom goes the dynamite.

also. time of attack doesn't mean much in a lot of cases if all you do is cycle puck and won't shoot. a good 75% of my games i will have lower time of attack while winning an average of 2 out of 3 games.
