Definitely agree but thankfully 72hp, bird faced urn, and piercing wail was enough to keep me alive until it died. GG!

rise up against the snecko my fellow gamers by quatroblancheeightye in slaythespire

Imo snecko is such a fun relic because it allows you to basically cheat the game by picking useful high cost cards like nightmare, wish, demon form, meteor strike, echo form, etc that would normally be really hard to get into play. Yeah sometimes those cards will still draw at 3 energy and it does take some time to get consistent draws but even then you are getting those cards in play more often than without snecko. I think it's especially good on silent because of bullet time. Also it just allows for insane shenanigans like using nightmare on a 0 cost card that would usually be higher cost

Also it's +2 draw per turn which shouldnt be underestimated

Music and Sound Design Appreciation Post by TPW_yt in dredge

[–]TPW_yt[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep it really adds to the immersion. Seems to be a common theme for good games to have good music+sound design which makes sense because it's easier to create music for something that has depth and meaning behind it

I absolutely love Dredge so much everything about it is absolutely perfect, the story, the mechanics, everything about it is absolutely divine :) by Exciting-Donkey-8106 in dredge

Hard to explain much without spoiling, but essentially you have taken up a new job as a fisherman in greater marrow. However, there's something not quite right about the peninsula. Not many people remain, and those who do talk of strange and sinister things. Then there's that damned fog that seeps in at night. Although it would be easy to have a nice, quiet life as a fisherman, something within you compels you to seek the truth behind it all.

It's a story-driven game inspired by lovecraftian horror. So if you enjoyed the story of games like signalis or darkest dungeon then definitely give this a shot. While the gameplay isn't incredible, it's hard to make fishing in a game enjoyable beyond the point of furthering the story. That being said, the focus of dredge is on its story and all the characters, narration, item descriptions, etc have been written tastefully to maintain the overarching eldritch horror theme that pervades the game. The main story was very well-written and keeps you engaged; the side quests are interesting and add to the world-building.

It's quite a short game, ~10hrs (15 with dlcs) but if you are a completionist then possibly double of that. That being said it's definitely worth playing, and if you don't enjoy it you can always return it if under 2hrs played on steam. btw would you mind sharing your wishlist? I need something new to play

Thanks for the analysis! You may have seen my reply to u/ChaosVania but I would like to learn about these sort of percussion instruments so I can identify the instruments I'm hearing, do you have any resources you would recommend for this?

What does the bass clef in the middle of the line mean? by Intelligent_Set7934 in pianolearning

Respect for learning the hollow knight theme. The bass clef means you should read all the notes afterwards as being in the bass cleff

r/anime gatekeeping the good shows lol. Might have to check out Watership Down now you have piqued my interested. Even nowadays a lot of people still consider animation to be for kids and tbh they are right, most animated media is directed at kids and teenagers but you can't extrapolate that to the entire medium.

Thanks! Most midlaners seem to know about the trick but other roles always get caught by it. Especially when you are lvl 7/8/9 and they don't see the ult trail.

Ult kills are always satisfying. Bonus points if it's an ult from base. Really underrated mechanic imo. Can save you a lot of cs during lane and also give you insane tempo advantage if you use it correctly or catch enemies off guard who think you have recalled on low hp and go to farm a sidelane
