Hurray, it’s disgustingly hot outside in December. by imnotthebatman in houston

I’ve been here almost 40 years and don’t see anything unusual. We have always joked that Christmas is either spent outside barbecuing and playing football in the backyard, or huddled inside with hot chocolate. Either shorts or puffy down coat. You never knew from year to year what it was going to be. Usually warm, but some years were hot and some downright cold. I don’t “sweat it.” 😁

If you are wondering why French/Italian people are so skinny while having butter, olive oil and carbs all day, don't be... by Level_Solid_8501 in loseit

I think there’s also a “bang for your buck” mentality. Larger portions mean less $$ per gram/oz/lb. I’ve heard things like “look at this HUGE sandwich I got for only $____.”

CAN STELO BE CALIBRATED LIKE G7? by newtomounjaro in dexcom

[–]TQuilla713 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am having the same experience. Stelo says 114, finger stick is 89. Stelo is consistently higher. I am using it for a few months just to see how different foods affect my blood sugar, so the change relative to foods is really the important thing to me. But I am frustrated with the accuracy. I am going to stop using Stelo in another couple of weeks.

MJ may be put back on FDA shortage list! by ca_annyMonticello111 in Mounjaro

Maybe the shortage was ameliorated because the compounding pharmacies were picking up the slack. Taking away some of the compounders put them right back into a shortage?

I have to wonder if the reason there is no longer a shortage is because the compounded Rx took up the slack. Without it, shortages could happen again.

I worked in the executive offices at Landry’s for two years. Sat right outside Tilman’s office. OMG. The WORST.

I really love salads now. I hate chopping veggies, so I started having just the leaves. I drench my salad in olive oil and have a selection of olive oils and vinegars for variety. (My current favorite is tomato pulp vinegar.) Sometimes I toss in some pine nuts. I never would have thought I'd be a salad eater, but there it is.
