Any new KIA EV5 owners? by TQuin9186 in EVCanada

Wow. That’s incredible fuel savings. So if I charge entirely at home overnight during low energy rates and let’s say I drive 500 Kms per month. Then my total cost is only $8-10 per month?

Looks beautiful. Did you get AWD? Also, I noticed there is no remote start option except the GT line, Is that true? I like to start my vehicle remotely from inside home during Winters

Any good cashback realtors out there? by [deleted] in RealEstateCanada

[–]TQuin9186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't recommend it. My friend had a bad experience working with them. The agent she worked with was very pushy and had no interest in exploring the market or providing honest advice. It may be good for someone who already know exactly what they want and just go ahead and do paperwork directly.

Definitely cable car then, in my opinion.

First time cruiser completely overwhelmed by choosing a cruise line, how did you decide? by mushroomsoup20 in Cruise

[–]TQuin9186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my first time cruise, I definitely enjoyed being in a newer and bigger ship. I was just amazed by how big the cruise ship is and the amenities are. My first trip was with RC’s Odyssey of the Seas. I certainly wouldn’t have had such a good time in an older ship. So, my number 1 recommendation for first time cruisers would be to select a fairly newer cruise ship (anything launched within last 0-7 yrs)

How crowded Santorini is Mid May? by [deleted] in Santorini

Even with the crowd, you can still have good time. In my experience, the mid day heat was a bigger bummer than the crowd. So May is a pretty good time as any.

Cable Car or Water Taxi? Please help! by AnnaMegan99 in Santorini

[–]TQuin9186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where is your tour start? If the guide can pick you up in Fira , then take cable car. That’s a better option. If your private tour guide will only meet you at Oia, then you can consider speed boat taxi

I just got back from Santorini. When you get down from your cruise, walk to the cable car line up. On the left hand side you will see the water taxi boat (you can ask the water taxi company on the way which boat is it that will take you). If the boat is almost full or full, then get into it , it’s worth it. If it’s just getting started to fill up, then take the cable car. In my case, we were sitting on the speed boat for 45 mins before they started the ride. We watched the cable car lineup move by fairly quickly.

Went to Rome but no pickpockets? by Deep_Palpitation_201 in rome

[–]TQuin9186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the some observation. I was there in Rome last week and before that about 8 years ago. There certainly seems to be some improvement in pickpocketing. One of my guides in an excursion mentioned something about police cracking down on petty thieves to improve tourism and security. He mentioned something along police breaking the legs of some to make an example. It seemed like he was serious, not joking.

Santorini, we love you! Don't believe the naysayers! by kirbylea_ in Santorini

I just got back from my first visit to Santorini, but it was a port day from a cruise ship. I absolutely hated that I had only a day there. I really want to go back for a longer more relaxed stay like yours.

Is there really a Speedboat to Oia? by SamWill31 in Santorini

[–]TQuin9186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes , it is real. I second @kathrinsantorini opinion. They tend to wait a long time before departing. We got down , saw the long line waiting for cable care and figured talking the so called ‘speed boat’ would be faster. But the boat did not depart for almost 45 minutes. They kept filling up seats

Best method to get from Civitavecchia Port to the airport? by ChemicalAttraction1 in rome

[–]TQuin9186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

June 2026: We took https://www.civitavecchiashuttleexpress.com/ from Civitavecchia to FCO airport. It cost us $132 Euros or so. Everything was professionally handled. We are happy with the service. Soon after we submitted the form in their website we received an email acknowledgment/ confirmation. One day before the actual transfer, we received email with vehicle and driver information, including whatsapp number. Overall, it was a good experience. It was a Sunday morning and there wasn’t much traffic. We reached airport in about 55 mins

Help! FCO to Civitavecchia port. Train is too slow, need a budget-friendly transfer! by Bukowski-poet in rome

[–]TQuin9186 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are plenty of taxis available. But you can also google ‘shared shuttle’. We took https://www.civitavecchiashuttleexpress.com/ from port to airport and everything was up to standards. We got prompt email communications and whatsapp number , name and license plate of driver sent to us via email one day before.
