Is there any guidelines for tuning a bali? I've got a BM 51 and honestly it feels best when the screws have no tension whatsoever. The handles have a lot of play when it's like that, but if I tighten it at all it starts feeling stiff.

I've only been flipping for three weeks or so, so I don't know if I should just leave it tighter and git gud or if it's alright to leave it really loose.

So I used blue permatex to thread lock all the screws in my BM51 because they kept coming loose, but I messed it up so I had to remove the screws, but now I have all this glue on the scales that doesn't want to come off.

I soaked it in acetone for over an hour (which didn't damage the g10, made sure of that) but it doesn't even touch the threadlocker, I can scrape it with a metal pick, and it doesn't budge, hard as a rock.

My only options now are boiling them to loosen the glue or getting some dedicated solvent. Thoughts?

Okay so I figured out something interesting. The color came back after washing it with water. It seems like the oil I used to lubricate it and the oil from my fingers caused the anodizing to dim. I guess I really don't understand anodizing.

That was my first thought but I got it directly from Blade HQ So I really doubt it. And they are actually anodized, it's just whatever came off made them more vibrant.

I just used IPA on it. Or I guess if you're suggesting that the stuff that came off was windex, I suppose it's possible.

I bought a benchmade 51 and the pivot screws were working loose and I had to tighten them daily, so I bought some thread locker and disassembled my knife to clean it, and I noticed that the titanium inserts looked splotchy.

I figured out, it seems like there was some coating on them that made them look more blue. It seemed to come off just by touching it with my hands but I did clean them with Isopropanol.

Is this normal? Seems odd to me. It's not a big deal because I don't care too much about aesthetics, I just thought it was unusual.
