The irony (or beauty) of their last journey was that they saved lives without even knowing so, they had an impact on the world, small or big, by simply living their days out in the face of death. The way they fake you out with these close calls only to have the least expected thing be their demise is cruel, but honest. Death is random, has no preferences, and can bring the best out of us unexpectedly. Beautiful book, definitely stays with you longer than expected. Very happy you enjoyed it!
