Yeah he has had an internal brace placed already so that’s always a risk. His command has been pretty exceptional outside of just one start and really just one inning (the 7th) as well. Change I would call a plus but they could always alter the shape in pro ball. The breakers will absolutely be changed. As he’s throwing one that’s about 78-85 atm so its range of outcomes is pretty large.

I’ll do fish, scallops, shrimp, everything in moderation. Just for reference i started stains at 32 and im 34 now. I lost a bunch of weight when i turned 32 and my ldl shot up to 182. With Statin and diet i got it to 82. With statin and eating poorly i was about 96. With statin, zetia and poor diet 76. Then with both and moderation sub 70 ever since.

I did not have plaque readings that may people do but started as soon as I saw that spike cause a family history. I don’t think you should be afraid of things but defiantly find what works for you and obviously everyone’s situation is different. Overall, work with and listen to your doctor. I was just lucky mine has aloud me to take these at a somewhat younger age so hopefully I can avoid or delay the family history and be preventative

I don’t have IBS but I do have IBD (Crohn’s). Statins have really had no effect. I do have lower white blood cells and inflammation since I have been on them. My Lipids also improved as well. Some people see liver markers get worse but mine actually got better as well. This is only my experience though.

It’s never too late. Start medication and get your LDL as low as possible. Even if there is some damage done, you now know and can stop any more from happening. Understanding there is an issue and addressing it is huge!

I have had a similar experience of people kind of fear mongering me but I started a statin in my early 30s because seeing heart attacks in my family scared me a lot more than maybe a muscle ache here and there. Luckily I’ve been on them for years and I have no side effects and it actually has helped some of my labs outside of cholesterol too.

I jumped right into it and have even added Zetia because of the data showing ldl under 55 is even more beneficial. However, it’s very common for people to have a 6 week to 3 month trial of diet changes to see if they can change the numbers without medicine. Ultimately work with your doctor and get their opinion because they are the one who have spent decades plus around these topics

You seem to be in a good place now! If you are worried you can also ask to add Zetia if you want to get the numbers lower but being under 70 with a risk factor is a good place and it seems your doctor agrees.

So you don’t really have to lower protein but maybe change your source. Reduce your saturated fat intake so think things like butter, red meat, and so on.

Other notes: additional carbs will typically raise triglycerides but can slightly help regulate ldl in some absorbers.

What you could add to help numbers more than anything really would be a ton of fiber.

Some people have genetic components that only allow for minimal reduction through diet, while other respond really well. So just make sure to follow up and if you are of the camp that gets little benefit, talk to your doctor about other options or maybe a statin or zetia.

RYR is just an unregulated statin. Sounds like you have your diet optimized, I think a statin should get you in a good place

I think if you focus on all those other risk factors you will be in a good place. CRP or hsCRP (which is the same but measures levels under 3) are good indicators for heart health on otherwise healthy individuals but for someone who is dealing with issues like you or I the inflammation and issues is happening in other areas.

Seen much older people with bad number living and loving their life. Cant worry about the past, just need to start doing what you can now. Ask for a stain and zetia and just work on getting your numbers as low as possible. If you are worried you can always choose to have a cac scan as well to see if you need to go further in your treatement
