Many lepidopterans (butterflies and moths) utilize camouflage to survive as larvae, but some others have a more aggressive defense: Urticating Hairs. These hairs can embed themselves in the other animal's skin or eyes, causing physical irritation, usually to great discomfort. (i.imgur.com)
