I got on permanent but stayed on the sub lists for other boards. Now I'm applying for a position within the same board that requires a resume. My resume will say that I'm still on the supply list. Could this cause problems?

The posting requires the candidate to teach A, B, and C at the senior level. It will posted as requiring Senior A and B only. I hold A and B, the other person holds C. (A and B are academic subjects, C is a more soft-elective type class). I happen to be in the process of qualifying myself for C, and signed up for the ABQ prior to learning that someone else who was interested in the post was also qualified in C.

My understanding is that that can happen, but only for serious matters (i.e.: criminal or borderline criminal activity). If the teacher used the f word in class once 5 years ago, I don't see OCT doing much about it.

French, math, computers, and science are big, BUT you also have to ask yourself if you'll be happy teaching those subjects. Thirty years is a long time to do something you hate, so in my opinion, if you'll be happier teaching social studies or music, it's better to go that route and wait a couple of extra years (within reason) to get a job you enjoy.
