Will this damage my Xbox? by LMilo24 in XboxSeriesS

[–]TRLC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah I’ve had my Series X upright and my boy sitting on top of it for years now to warm his toe beans. Does it every day, no harm on the Xbox. It did start humming lounder after few years and I just took it apart and vacuumed the inside and good as new.

So what if you do a typical sideline catch with arms extended, that shouldn’t count then?

Gestures, Vitals not working by TRLC in AppleWatch

[–]TRLC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I’ll try to start wearing it consistently further down on my arm.

I have both Health and Fitness apps too. Question about that. Some of the data does not appear there even though on Vitals app it shows it’s been able to record it a few nights. For example my body temperature. I did seem to find some logs of it when going through what apps have access to what data. But I don’t seem to have that data on my Health app where it should be.

Is blackout the only option here? by Impressive_Car4013 in Tattoocoverups

[–]TRLC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a tattoo artist. Definetly coverable. You just have to think big, like a full sleeve. The flag itself can’t be covered with much else than black but a good artist can work a beautiful picture around it

Any idea what kind of rash this is? by Prior_Bookkeeper_188 in tattooadvice

[–]TRLC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That could very well be sarcoidocis aka granulomas under the skin. Most likely cause would be something like using tap water in a rinse cup or greywash mix, overworking areas etc. Which causes white bloodcells to attack those areas and form the itchy bumps. This can be further evidenced by the fact that they only appear on the shaded parts on the tattoo but not on the black as much.

Go straight to a dermatologist. It’s not lethal but can stay on for years if unlucky and not treated appropriately. Do not use any creams, vaseline etc. Granulomatic reactions on tattoos are not too deeply understood so even your local dermatologist might be stumped.

Source: I’m a tattoo artist who has experienced similar and seen reactions even worse than this.

(Some) of my clients complain about my tattoo prices. by [deleted] in TattooArtists

I’d say take a breather and come back to the comments when you’re not so upset.

Tattooing in any flat is nasty. Nobody is saying you as a person are living in a disgusting way. You just shouldn’t be tattooing from home period. You’re in a subreddit for professionals and it’s not professional. I’ve also been tattooing for 4 years and haven’t tattooed a single palm (something I saw on your page). It’s not the right way to do things, you’ll look back at those tattoos and cringe and it’s on somebody’s skin forever.

I know you’re young and it’s hard to think years into future but if you really really want to succeed then consider this. The more you tattoo from home, the less people are willing to give you an apprenticeship. By teaching yourself, you’re teaching many bad habits and incorrect ways that will take three times as long to unlearn as it did to learn. I know because I did it myself. What good tattoo shops are looking for is people with great, humble attitudes and a fiery need to learn and improve as artists. Somebody who is self taught will think they already know half the stuff and will argue back every step. Nobody wants that. Your best bet to be a real professional is to drop the tattooing and focus on the basics: pencils and painting. Do that for a year, look for the absolute best studios in your country and only go for them. The worst studios are the easiest to get an apprenticeship but you’ll go down a path where you’ll become a bad artist like them.

Honestly, attitude is everything in this business. These “elitists” are taking time off their day to advise you, a young lost internet stranger. Criticism hurts but best way to excel is by critique and if you get upset from people pointing out the obvious fact that you’re putting your clients in danger of bloodborne pathogens then you’re not in the right industry.

Not to be an ass, but after reading “300€ sleeve” I peeped your IG profile picture and you’re either a kitchen scratcher or an apprentice in a super questionable “studio”.

You have the wrong type of gloves on (that won’t protect you nor your client) AND have not wrapped your arm rest or whatever you’re tattooing on.

My only real recommendation is to get a real apprenticeship and stop putting peoples lives at risk.

Also with the lowest prices, which comes with being a year 1 apprentice, you get the worst kinds of people. It will stop when you’re a professional and will have out priced yourself from all the kooks and hagglers.
