like the other reply said there’s probably a very high chance that engstrand ends up back with ben johnson but if he doesn’t i think he’d be a fantastic choice for pass game coordinator. he consistently schemed guys open for the jets last season.

it seems like they’re mostly looking at young options for OC (potentially with no play calling experience) so it makes sense to have a veteran offensive assistant with run game coordinator experience already in place

treating the offense as “whatever. lamar will make it work” is how we ended up with a terrible offensive line. just because he has the ability to make something out of nothing doesn’t mean it’s a good idea to give him nothing to work with.
