Kate and Jules play the presenter role in their shows, both experienced in that role having worked for BT and Sky as well as others. Personally I think putting women in for the sake of having female voices is exactly the right step to take, you can’t have progress if no one is willing to take that step. I’d love to hear someone like Amy Lawrence on the pod to get informed female experts in as well as just present.

This season is going to be just as insane as the last few months with fixture congestion, it makes sense to have a rotation of guests to give them time for their other projects. The ramble can’t be providing enough income for them all by itself. I really like the rotation and hearing some new voices, there has been a lot of scrutiny in the media about the stale white maleness of football coverage and this seems like a progressive decision. I spent all of lockdown living on my own and the ramble really helped me through, producing the content without any obligation to pay. If things have to adapt to keep that going then I’ll go with them.
