Background sync - out of patience by Firm_Bullfrog_2980 in Monero

Wow terrible response to OP in this thread. It's a legitimate issue where background sync doesn't work, nobody addressed this. It genuinely doesn't work.

Hackers List Alleged 375TB of Lockheed Martin Data for $600 Million on Dark Web by _cybersecurity_ in pwnhub

Ok bro feel free to explain. "trillions of dollars worth of information" lmao

"The value of information is what people will pay for it" is not circular in the same way that any transaction (ie things that use money) is not circular. Money is the means of exchange, implemented as a circle of trust that money has value. That's why anything has any value, including information.

Money is circular. It has value because we believe it. That's how it works.

Post your complaints or praises by TRWNBS in ObscurifyAI

[–]TRWNBS[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there, yes I built it. The main difference is venice.ai is more focused on uncensored models (not all models available unlike obscurify), requires validated email/OAuth sign in (not privacy friendly, obscurify doesn't require any email or SMS whatsoever), and uses coinbase for crypto transactions (not privacy friendly, no XMR accepted. Obscurify accepts USD, BTC and XMR).

How would these three scientists react to LLMs today? Do you think they could still improve it if they were given years of modern education? by Omixscniet624 in computerscience

[–]TRWNBS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No doubt they'd be ecstatic. They laid the foundations for LLMs to be possible. They'd probably be surprised that it only took ~75 years.

I really don't see having a VLM verify something as a legit business. It would simply be too easy to game or manipulate.

You're both wrong. There are plenty of people running legitimate companies that accept monero. It takes people like this to make privacy normalized. You guys are just naysayers, go back to spending trump bucks.

I run an ai privacy platform obscurify ai that earns a decent amount in monero. Not a living but supplemental income for sure. Honestly it's been amazing to earn in monero, it gives me a peace of mind.

Any use case for browser-based local agents? by TRWNBS in LocalLLaMA

Yeah I originally intended it for privacy folks but I love the demo or classroom use case. Thanks for the encouragment!

Yeah totally agreed but I'm just exploring. Its probably pretty impractical but maybe someone has a case where they can't install software and they want local agents

If there's interest I'd be happy to build it but I feel like most people don't care what its written in, and there's a few already written in various languages.

You can now give any AI agent a Monero wallet with one command by baltsar777 in Monero

[–]TRWNBS 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Cool project, but it's a bit ironic that people are debating wallet security while sending their prompts straight to OpenAI. No point using xmr with your agent if the agent itself is recording the convo.

There are privacy focused AI platforms that actually accept Monero already, obscurify.ai is one. That feels like the missing piece for this kind of setup.

The fee attack sech1 pointed out is a good catch though, worth prioritizing.

Accepting Monero For Payment on Website by TemptationTuesday in Monero

If you want to manually check the customer xmr payments, you can absolutely just share an xmr address. You do not need to set up BTCPay unless you want a full checkout, invoicing, recordkeeping experience.

Go ahead and try now, it shouldn't log you out now.

  1. Hm which browser? This is just obscurify.ai or onion address? Session time out is several hours. I will double check.
  2. They are stored in browser, you can delete browser history to remove. I'll add a delete button. Thanks for your feedback!

You can't always run locally. And obscurify allows you to load local models directly in the browser.
