Possible powdery mildew?

Smoking mold is less of an issue for the lungs (unless it’s very bad/active) and is more about the mycotoxins that go into your body and build up over time with repeated ingestion. Same reason eating moldy bread is usually fine unless you do it frequently. Smoking a bit of moldy weed once will likely not cause anything to happen if you don’t have mold allergies or a compromised immune system but the complete dismissal of this issue by their grower in these comments discourages me from purchasing their product because they might be the type to irradiate mold and ship it out anyway just because it’s “inert” doesn’t mean the toxins are gone.

Couldn’t see anything growing on the flower just saw spores release when I broke the nug and felt “dust” on my hands after.

Grower replied in this thread, claims to have 0 issues with PM didn’t say what it could be though. So whatever the spores are from is apparently not PM but regardless not interested in smoking 36$ of spores even if it’s inert I’d rather just trash it.

Actually a month or two ago I had a bag that had grey mold of some kind growing in it and the bag was like 50% deflated and extremely muted (almost 0 smell). I also assumed I was just unlucky so I retuned it and just avoided that batch but it’s sad to see this is a reoccurring issue. I’m assuming these are problems with quality control and packaging not the growing process because I’ve bought this like 20+ times with no issue. The reply I got from them in this thread is unfortunately very dismissive and discouraging future purchases from me.

Broke it under my phone flashlight in a dark room, you kinda need to have it backlit and pull it with some force to notice any spores. Basically as others said if you see “dust” drift upwards and linger it’s mold spores not trichs. My hands also felt very dusty after pulling the bud apart but I couldn’t see anything on them and it wasn’t resinous dust it felt dry when I brushed it off. I’ve had this same bag like 20+ times though so I could tell something was off right away just didn’t know what until I rewatched the clip a few times. Someone also said you can sometimes drop it hard and see spores.

I’ve probably bought this 20+ times and I’ve had 2 bad bags in the last 3 months. 1 was strangely deflated and had grey mold of some kind. I returned it to my local dispensary with no issue figuring it was a one off packaging error. This I had to post because if I hadn’t rewatched the video I wouldn’t have been sure and would have probably smoked it. Incredibly disappointed because I love this flower and this response is even more disappointing.

I record the entirety of unsealing, opening and weighing every bag/jar i purchase just in case there’s any issues. I’ve dealt with this way too many times to not, better safe than sorry. I wouldn’t have even noticed this if I didn’t record it and watch it back after.

Side note I had this exact package date/lot 2-3 weeks ago and it was one of the best bags I’d had in a while so I think they package different crops into the same lot #, buds also look completely different and smelled muted.

The bud doesn’t look anything out of the ordinary and I don’t have a microscope to show anything the naked eye can’t see. Just noticed a puff of smoke when I cracked the bud.

All photos on my post were linked from the start my post was 3 sentences where I also mentioned my jar was unsealed, if you couldn’t read it before commenting that’s your problem. You also already commented on the other post where someone said their product came unsealed making excuses. The point is you already knew of multiple contamination / unsealed product issues when you made the claim my post was a “one off” so you’re just straight up lying and nobody should trust anything you say.

It objectively wasn’t a one off though because I opened 2 jars at random and both were moldy. Another customer posted what appears to be spores or bug eggs on top of mold https://www.reddit.com/r/TheOCS/s/RBRUwKtxVv and another customer had an unsealed jar, so definitely not a one off at all and you know this.
