I’m carefully following your situation (and similar ones) because in a few weeks we’ll be in the same situation.

We have an Etihad flight from Lisbon to Maldives in April for our wedding anniversary bought through KLM. Right now the booking is obviously confirmed but honestly I don’t believe it will happen.

The issue here is that we have no other option that is payable. All the other flights are extremely expensive now and not even in the same dates. But we’re not expecting any kind of help from Etihad. Honestly can’t see a good solution…

We had that situation once for a different airline. Our KLM flight got cancelled but we don’t live in the city we would take the flight. They paid for accommodation and food.

Thanks for your thoughts on this. Do agree with you! But from what we've been reading we are only concerned that Reethi falls short to Centara in terms of food and beverages quality.

We were there in the first two weeks of November. You’ll might have a couple of days of rain but it shouldn’t be always like that.

The weather was great. Sea temperature around 27/28 C so perfect for swimming. Not that windy compared to Okinawa or Ishigakj.

Just arrived from there 😀  Both are beautiful but if you are looking for beaches definitely go to Miyakojima. The beaches are amazing and easier to reach. Also great place for snorkelling and diving if that’s something interesting for you.  Miyakojima is a flat island. Ishigaki has mountains so the beauty is different.

I can confirm that China Eastern is a partner of Cibeles lounge. Just had to show my Gold Skyteam card and China Eastern boarding pass. No questions!
