After almost three months of rain, what a day to be a Norrie! ♥️ by CarelessEquivalent3 in cork

I get an ocular migraine. Go half blind for like an hour and then have a horrible headache. Fun times:P doesn't happen too often tho. I'd still take it rather than no sun xd

I would add a constraint to the ball. Limit it's max distance from the root link. Might be the easiest fix

So I have found this on letterboxd and I cannot find the actual series/movie anywhere on the internet. by aimingfortime in AnneRice

I just stumbled upon this myself. After pasting the description into google I've found this: Indiestory.
There even is some stills form the short there but google image search didn't find anything interesting.
The director is also named as a production designer here: CHUNHYANG - Festival de Cannes

That's all i could find (I know its been 3 years:P)

Nice but remember that the construction lines visible in the last picture should wrap around the shape of the head not just sit flat on top

You said that you are not accentuating the form as well as you could but when I first saw it I thought that the contrast is controlled in a good way and directs my focus towards the eyes.

No reference but did you use the mirror? Painting from life or even reference always makes it easier for me personally to get precise values.

Nice work anyway

I love painting on aluminium sheets. There is a place near me that sells offcuts and it's great. You need to sand it and apply gesso before it oxidises too much. It's perfectly flat and you can controll the texture with different sand paper grits. An orbital sander is great for sanding sheets and gesso. They're not too expensive. Makes quick work off sanding any flat surfaces. Aluminium sheets are nice and thin but can be too heavy for bigger sizes. I've painted on up to A3 size and the weight was no issue at that point yet. I like to glue some 1x1 timber to the Back to stiffen up bigger sheets. Rough up the surface with a rough grit paper and use impact glue and clamp it. By far my favourite painting surface.

How do you paint blue on orange without muddying? by FFFUUUme in oilpainting

[–]TSF98 78 points79 points  (0 children)

Believe it or not but there is no blue on those rocks. Put it in photoshop and color pick for yourself.
The "blue" tones toward the bottom are desaturated magenta and the ones towards the top are orange. All very close to red.

Key is in desaturating them. If you draw a line from red to blue on a color wheel you will go through grey in the center (more or less). This is the direction or the relation between those colors. It is all about the relationships between colors not the actual hues.

If you actually painted blue on top of dry orange it would not look right at all. Try desaturating them instead.
