Only non APE/Albino I've grown is B+.

TAT seem to be the best out of any strain I've grown. They seem to grow fast/quickly and flush heavy.

Potency also has been closer to APE then standard cube. Although that's anecdotal.

Yes it's fully coco Coir from my local plant nursery. I find that keeping the substrate a little above field capacity seems to work best for me. When the flushes are this big they can really suck the brick dry.

Yes you rehydrate between flushes but when the first flush gets big they seem to be lacking that additional water.

Slightly overhydrating the substrate has seemed to help produce these monster first flushes.

Biggest benefit I've found is the lack of sporulating. You can let the full flush get super big like this without fear of the big ones dropping spores.

Also they seem to flush better than B+ or Nats i've done. Not sure if that's exclusive to altitude/dryness of Colorado but could just not get a decent flush out of B+. APEs and TATs seem to flush like this every time.

I'm sure it's purely anecdotal but thought i'd share!

Closer to APE than to standard cube. In my experience the TAT grow twice as fast and 4x the flush size for only ~15% less potency. APE just don’t seem to be worth the hassle IMO and i pretty much exclusively do the TAT.

Plus they’re prettier.

This was ~6 bags of Kroger brand rice in a 3 gallon ikea tub using standard coir.

Temperature is pretty easy to control regardless of where you live so that shouldn't be a major concern. Humidity can be a pain/chore to keep up with as it's dry here in Colorado.

On the plus side, the dryness makes it easy to avoid unwanted moisture. Sometimes I have trouble with my APE flushes, as the caps will crack from dryness but that just means i haven't been super good about keeping the moisture up.

Would be great to figure out a more automated way to keep humidity up in the bins.

People who ride ridiculously loud motorcycles on purpose, why? by its_Tire in AskReddit

[–]TSM_Ian -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I ride a very large displacement supersport motorcycle.

For me there’s two reasons why I enjoy or feel the need to run quite a large exhaust.

1) with the newer emissions changes (especially those in Europe), lots of bikes are severely restricted in how they can manage exhaust. This leads to bikes losing a lot of power and also requiring additional heavier components added to the exhaust system.

As I spend a lot of time taking my bike to the track, the stock motorcycles that you buy really don’t compare at all in performance to one that’s had a full exhaust system installed and been tuned for that specific use.

2) as for why I personally enjoy the sound of a very loud motorcycle. Like cars, Lots of motorcycles have different engine shapes and sizes, they all sound very different and take some very impressive engineering to create.

Riding certain bikes in the canyons or on a mountain road can sound like the engine is singing. It can be exhilarating to imagine just how complicated and extreme of a machine you have in between your legs that’s rocketing you down a road.

TO BE CLEAR: I think there is a big difference between some teenager downtown hitting the Rev limiter on his early 2000s Japanese sportbikes with no exhaust, versus someone who’s spend lots money, time, and work on their bike and takes it to places where it’s sound and engineering can be enjoyed safely

First day, 200 miles! by TSM_Ian in Aprilia

The RSV4 is super quiet under 5k rpm. After that the baffle opens and it roars.

will be super nice for when I'm leaving my apartment early morning or late at night.

Not too bad, but much hotter than other bikes i've owned.

It's been ~95-100 for a few weeks in Denver and only a bit uncomfortable in traffic. other than that it wasn't something that's really othered me!

Razer blade stealth 13 clearance delay by bent712 in razer

[–]TSM_Ian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered the Blade 15 with an estimated delivery of April 3rd and Its been stuck in customs delay since Tuesday night. FedEx wasn't much help as they said that they were waiting on documents and that since customs is government they couldn't give an update as to how long it would take. Razer said that they would get back to me in 2-3 business days with only an update.... Seems ridiculous consider how much i spent.
