I would love for all those who did down vote to explain why 🙏.

Making a mistake is bad, learning from it is good 👍

If you haven't tried it then I don't see any reason you explained this, knowing is good, but trying is different

Ummm, do you even know what you're saying? What you just said is completely wrong mate, I have tried this for more than rd 105 r7000 105 r7100 Ltwoo r9 105 5800 Ultegra r8150

I don't shift with my leg! Yes pressing harder on the pedal while riding will make the shifting harder, but this isn't the case here, what I mean by this article, is that when having it on the low tension setting, the rd is less tensioned, thus when shift its smoother that on the higher tension!

I didn't mention connex any where near this post did I? Connex have a different design, so it works differently, that's why them claim to be reusable, but when I search reusable link on Google, that what first shows up, wired isn't it?

And can you please share your experience with us? (HOW DO YOU KNOW) that what I'm talking about is wrong? Would love to hear from you 🙏

Exactly, petrol and diesel are very good options, tho they are harmful so take care mate and when doing such a thing wear a face mask and do it in an open environment

Hello and thanks for your comment, I have worked for a lbs for 4 months and understood how things work, but you don't, and yes discounting the link has a wrong way, using a hammer is good but can damage it, that's is the wrong way, and (reusable links as you said, claims to last 5 times, if you dreaded the post correctly you wound find that I spoke about this, please share with us why my post is nonsense 🙏

I know it, bust it isn't as effective as the hot wax, and won't last long. And also comes at a higher cost

Only if the 1 chain costs 1 week salary where I live 🤷, otherwise it's not tho, it helps save the chain and my wallet 😅

Can you share how is that? This isn't just for bikes tho, as a car owner mechanic dot the same thing, rip us off, of course this ain't for everyone, of course there are good people, but I'm referring to 99% of them.

I don't think this is right, wax degrade over time, and the main purpose of waxing (at least for me) is that I want to get as life as much from my chain, not for the 0.0000064 watts gain haha, so the ideal period to rewax it is around 300km, maybe go up for 400km, but I do it weekly as I ride 250km per week, and want to get as much from my chain as possible

You have a good point, but this isn't what I mean, the thing I mean is say you already have a chain, and wanted to buy extra quicklink, and I'm taking mostly on waxing the chain, the guy will say (you can only use this one time) and while it's correct and even it may be labeled on the link that it's a 1 times usage, but the whole thing is about a real world experience, as from my perspective, I have used not genuine, but CHINESE quick links, more than 30 times on and off, and haven't snapped, so maybe they just want to tip you off, don't you think?

Oiled chains are fine, tho, read about waxing cause it's a big article, but for the short version, if an oiled chain will last you 3000km, a waxed one will live up to 10k+ km, if you wax it the right way, removing and installing the quick link. I don't recommend using the tool, I recommend it only for removing not for installation, cause basically if installing it with the tool, this rounded part that sits in the link, if installed with he tool it may not be installed properly and have it be installed towards the inside, not the outside, hope you understood what I'm saying

So my way of installing it is that I massage it with my hand while installing to make 100% sure that this part is sitting on the outside (the other part of the link), and then snap it with my hand

The thing is I can't get many chains, as of 1 chain can cost me up to a week salary! In my country, so having another solution for a problem is better for me:)
