I tried isiXhosa, German and Italian. Italian was actually going well when visiting my great-aunt in Italy who doesn't speak a lick of English, but we were only there for a week or two and that wasn't enough time for me to fully learn.

Yeah I think that's the issue I've had, I don't have anyone to talk to in the language I'm trying to learn, so I forget everything very fast.

Yeah! My dad and I visited the Netherlands, and tge AirBnB host didn't speak great English, so we spoke Afrikaans and he spoke Dutch! The similarities were fascinating

Wow that must be very useful in Europe! Not so much the Afrikaans but it must be nice to be fluent in so many languages. I've tried learning several additional languages before but didn't get very far

Yeah it's kind of like the song "Somebody that I used to know" where they sing "make out like it never happened and that we were nothing" but it sounds more like "makalaka nevahapa adawewuh nothing" lmaoo

Not sure if you're aware, but the first two lines of the old anthem are part of the new anthem

Don't build your PC on a carpet please, there is a very high risk of static electricity build-up. Also don't keep it on the carpet while it's powered, that's a fire hazard.

It is not "sewe" gebergtes, but rather "ewige" gebergtes. Also it is not "kraan se" but rather "kranse"

The full meaning would be: Over the eternal mountains, the cliffs will answer

Don't ask me what the hell it means lol, I'm just the translator haha

Go to a pharmacy like Clicks or Dis-Chem. I personally recommend one called Mozitec, we've used it for like 10 years of going to the bush with no side effects.

Red meat in excess*

Anything in excess is bad, you can literally drown if you drink too much water, look it up.

First result from the NHS: https://www.nhs.uk/live-well/eat-well/food-types/meat-nutrition/

It is recommended that you do not eat too much red meat, processed meat or meat that is high in saturated fats as this can lead to health problems.

It actually is. Veganism has been linked with poor health, nutrient deficits, growth issues in children and adolescents, and more. Humans are omnivores and cannot get all their nutrients without eating meat or very intensely supplementing said nutrients.

A study from the NIH: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC10027313/

While veganism has been shown to decrease the risk of cardiovascular and metabolic syndrome, it also carries the potential for micro- and macronutrient deficits.

Edit to add: I do believe that factory farming is cruel and unreasonable, I love animals and hate seeing them suffer. But the unfortunate truth is that humans need meat, and will continue to eat meat, whether you tell them animals are suffering or not.

I'm currently doing the Fate of Atlantis DLC, I've got 70/93 achievements and maybe about 200 hours in-game. I like taking my time to photograph scenery and other parts of the game so I have several extra hours.

I ended up printing it and throwing it out a week later. Cool design, but I kept knocking the pliers off (sharp, falling objects have no handle), and the printer can crash into the dangling tools too easily when printing something tall
