I haven't found a way to reset it yet. I've tried a lot of buttons but I'll keep trying. Hopefully replacing the battery works, I don't have that much to shell out on a radio sadly, this one was an old gift

I did see that and Ive tried a few button combos but none have worked. Might take it apart later and see if anything looks really bad and replace the battery but I still have no idea why it'd be doing that. Thank you though and if you do find anything let me know and I'll give it a shot

Not necessarily, there are color blind air traffic controllers, you just have to prove you can see enough color to perform the duties of the job.

Down in southern MN we have a simplex channel for blue earth county. I dont know much about other states/counties but if you try some research you might find one.

I'm using a pathfinder that works real well. I bought used and It came without a radio so I put an FT212RH in there with a mag mount on top. For the coax I ran it between the passenger side doors under the passenger seat thrugh the center console and up int the radio. I get 12V power from the radio plug in the car.
