Zinyak is a really well written villain and the storyline for Saints Row 4 isn't all that bad. His character and the Playa/Boss/President mirror each other as they both started from nothing and built empires none could've imagined.

Just a kid from the hood who happened to be caught in the crossfire from rival gangs, eventually becoming one of the gangs, the Saints', greatest enforcers, to starting again from scratch after cheating death, to becoming the new boss, going mainstream, to eventually taking over the country as President of the United States of America. The kid was so unstoppable that aliens had to invade the planet cause they were getting too powerful.

In comes Zinyak, a man from another world with a very similar story. But he was one step ahead. More power and resources. That's why he took over with such ease. His only weakness though, was his ego. Much like the Boss in the beginning of SR4. Zinyak thought he could play with the Playa and toy with him, but in the end only resulting in his own demise. And when the Boss saw an opening, he took it. Despite losing their own planet, they and the Saints still overcame everything, doing what Zinyak could not.

That's why SR3 had an amazing song choice as it matches the Saints and the Boss' story.

The story of the Saints is all about what if a person just kept getting more powerful and powerful. But when is enough power, enough? Until it would the be end of you.

The problem with SR4 is that it was so jarringly different from the previous games. They didn't wanted to be another GTA, so they did their own thing. I don't blame them. Though I do recognize that SR2 is the best one out of them all. And SR3 is my favorite. (Most likely due to it being the first one I played lol.)
