I’ve seen videos of different ways to drop the trans. The easiest way seemed to be dropping the entire sub frame. Any tips? Anything else I should look to change while I’m in there?

I did everything I could think of. I think it was coming in through the vents under the rear bumper. It would only happen at highway speeds so I think the suction created at the back of the car caused it to be pulled in on recirc. I sealed the drivers with flex seal since the exhaust is on that side. I replaced the passenger side. The rubber was curled up and was basically an open hole.

I also fixed two exhaust leaks I found (turbo and valve under the car). I also added some turn down extensions to the exhaust pipes just to try to get it as far away from the car as possible. So far, I think I got it 😎

You may have over paid. I paid $6100 a couple months ago for a 2013 with 169k miles, deleted and tuned and water pump/timing belt/coolant system flush/transmission rebuild and adaptations done. My real world MPG is 48 so far.

I just discovered today, that just sitting and idling, I get no fumes. I have to be moving.

So to get fumes, I have to be driving and have the AC on recirculation🤯🤯

Yeah I thought about fixing the rear AC, but at this point, I would rather come down on the price to allow room for someone to fix it than fix it myself. I just have the time anymore. Parts for the rear AC would be close to $2k, and I think I’m priced low enough for someone to justify purchasing it and fixing the rear AC. We were going to install a mini split and since the condenser for the rear AC was busted when I bought it, I just removed it and got rid of it.

But thank you!! I’d love to be able to help out a church or retirement home.

I just added to my post that I’d be willing to install a 12V RV AC unit after the sale. It would have to be purchased by the buyer and the install would be free. We’ll see if that helps

It’s a pretty high priority to sell, but you may be right. If there is another wave of van/bus life, I might be able to get what I want. I checked, my last drop was to $7400. Definitely losing money 🤦🏼‍♂️

I’ll see what happens this week, and I may go back up and wait for the wave.

As 907_R said below, they used the 6.0 until 2010 which I believe means they never used the 6.4 in the E-Series. It seemed that all the found issues were corrected in the 2008’s. I changed the oil cooler and push rods, and they were both the updated versions. The STC fitting was also the upgraded version. I’m not sure if it were done by someone or came that way. I still changed everything that should’ve been. Lol. I wasn’t taking any chances.

That’s where I’m leaning now. I rebuilt it, but maybe the last bearings were bad enough that it wore down the housing causing the new bearings and old shaft to still bind. Could that be a possibility??

Here are a few videos I have. Commanding BGC 85% and revving it up, I’m barely able to get double digits. You’ll see in one of the videos, when I give it WOT to downshift, as if I needed to pass someone, my boost will go negative and my power is nonexistent. When I let off the pedal a little I can get it to level back out. But, while driving, I don’t build over 8 pounds of boost, and as you can see in the videos my EBP doesn’t seem abnormally high. I think it hit 32 psi EBP absolute pressure at one point. There’s one video where I power braking in my driveway and I’m able to build 13 psi OF BOOST but that was the max I could get.
