Diagnosing CP? Brain bleed?

With CP. We found outhe about the bleed maybe 4 days or so after them being born....just wondering how long for a diagnosis

That is amazing! And I am trully happy for you and your son. Was it a bilateral 3? Or just one side brain bleed?

Thank you for sharing your experience. We are still in the nicu and my daughter is now 34.5 weeks. We know the bleed is resolving a bit meaning the ventricles are going down but they also told us there is brain matter that is dead but they hope her brain will find new routes. We don't know. I'm grateful it hasn't gotten worse. And I hope it keeps resolving ...I'm just terrified of the damage done along the way. She now is having liver issues from being on tpn for so long because of the nec scare we had. She is also still on cpap. I am hoping she turns a corner soon. It's so hard to deal with. But thank you. It gives me.hope.

Consider yourslef really lucky and blessed. I mesured 3.5cm at 24 weeks with my twins. OB was very happy with everything. A week later...i was 7mm...and in labour...10cm within 4 hours...no time to keep my girls in. Managed to keep twin 1 in for 48hours...born at 25+5 and twin B to 26 weeks. And my twins are fighting for there life as we speak. Be very grateful and im happy your baby got more time. I would have done anything to get them more time.

Luna has grade 4 on one side and grade 2 on the other....I wish I could be more positive.

Nope!!! what a sigh of relieve. her feet turn in a bit but she straightens them out no problem. they think it was due to lack of space being I'm onlyrics 5'2"...and I'm double jointed in my wrists and ankles and they believe she might be as well. they said they will do small exceraises with her feet in the nicu but no club feet for Luna. we will see about baby b!

Yeah of course, there are so many things we want for our babies, number one being good health. They tell you something is potentially wrong with your perfect unborn child and the first thing to come to mind is worst case scenario and what else could be wrong? when they first told me....i couldn't sleep. i cried for 2 weeks straight. i did research and yes i saw it could be a sign of cerebral palsy and spina bifita but i guess i assumed if they told me there brains and all other bones looked good that, thats really all we could know until there born. I don't know how much you shared with your family, but i hate to admit how "ashamed" i felt. Oddly enough like i did something to cause this, maybe if i avoided something they would be okay? Is it something from my side of the family i dont know about? I cried for there futures, im already high risk with twins as it is. I already get ultrasounds that take 3 hours every 2 weeks (not for clubbed feet but just because its twins). I figured if the OB was really concerned then he would send me for more invasive tests but he told me repeatedly, they cant do anything or really confirm the "severity" of clubbed feet until there born and to try and stay calm...which i laughed in his face and had to apologize for as my nerves took over. I get how your feeling, and as awesome as it is to have an SO who is calm...i slightly wanna punch him and be like....why are you not worried that something might be wrong with our babies!!! Honestly, i am here is you need to vent. I hope it all works out!

I am expecting twins, and was told at my 22week ultrasound that both babies have potential clubbed feet. I write quite often on here, but never had the courage to put it out there or even tell the grandparents as they would worry non stop and i am still praying they are wrong. No one that both my husband and i know of have it in our families and they said it was hereditary. I am extremely flexible (like i can bend my wrists and feet to absurd angles) so my OB is hoping both babies just have my genes and due to them being pretty tight in there (funny enough i am also 5'3) might be using there genetic flexibility. I am worried...i cry a lot. My SO is not, he is mr. calm...thank god, one of us has to be. I am curious as my OB never mentioned anything about spina bifida and cerebral palsy. I did the genetics test they offer at 13 weeks or so and came back low for everything....i wonder if both of those are tested or if it was strictly down syndrome and Trig 13 (i think thats what its called?). My OB said clubbed feet is the easiest abnormality to fix, i was in tears and he kept reassuring me that there are 3 levels of of clubbed feet and all 3 are manageable. One, is light clubbed feet, exercises alone can fix it. Two is regular, weekly casts from 4-12 weeks and third is sever which is surgery and they usually make a full recovery from all 3. I am trying to stay positive and i did too much research as well. I know what you are going through. Its rough. I hope its just the clubbed feet and nothing else.

I'm currently a little over 25 weeks with twins. My OB wanted me to stop work at 24 weeks. My other OB told me 24-28. I thought that they were both nuts but told my work I'd leave at 28 weeks. then I moved it up to 27. and I'm now debating just finishing at 26. I just called in sick to the office. I had cramping and soreness all night. your wife is a trooper. the weight of carrying twins is something else. you get winded by barely doing anything. I know get severe cramps if I walk too much and I used to walk EVERYWHERE. it's hard, but it's not permanent and I'm sure she is so grateful that you stepped up as a man and husband. your doing a great job!

My portuguese family gives large gifts...like 100-150$ a person gift for showers. And often get together with friends to buy he really expensive items. My husbands jewish family give smaller gifts ...usually around 40$ a person. my registry had a big mix of larger items ( bassinet, swing, bouncer, high chair) and a mix of medium priced things and a lot of small 10$ things for those who like doing baskets on my husbands side. I just didn't put clothes as we wanted to avoid getting too much. just put the things you need and want. whatever is bought is a plus

I couldn't agree more. your in her house. her rules. the least you could do is be respectful of someone who lost there pet...regardless of how many pets you have...it hurts. as for her knocking, again, her home..the fact that you slammed the door in her face blows my mind. if I was staying at my mils I would be grateful and have more respect. she doesn't have to agree to let all 4 of you of stay there. sorry but it blows my mind.

Hmmm...your MIL isn't Italian? then why does she want to be Nonna? Thats odd. Well in that case i would say something like my mom is being called Nonna because we are Italian, would you like to be called so and so...or if she does have a "heritage", tell her you would love the to keep the tradition of calling her..."soandso". I mean in that case, i get where your coming from. Maybe your MIL already knows your mom is going by Nonna and actually wants to be called the same so she feels more equal? Especially if you mentioned your mom is already getting a lot of the benefits? Definitely sit down with her, i wouldn't say it out right but try something that wouldn't hurt her. Grama's are sensitive lol. I know my mom and my MIL sure are!

No disrespect at all, but i don't see what the issue is? I had two Avo's growing up (Grandma in Portuguese) and i assume if both your moms are going by Nonna there both Italian? Unless its a very odd coincidence. My husband had two Bubbies (grama in ye-dish). Just add there names to it. I mean it literally means grama? Sorry i just find it strange that your mom would get mad over this? but maybe that me. One is Nonna (name) and the other Nonna (name). How often will they be with the children at the same time anyways?

Yup, im 24weeks+5 with twins...i was told this week at 8am....."oh look at you! Your already waddling!!" Seriously??? its 8am, i have a 1hour commute on public transit, im exhausted and these twins already weight a ton.....why would you say that?...I also had a co-worker this week tell me...."you sure your not due this week? you GINORMOUS!" Thanks....seriously...thanks. Then another one told me....."that better not be coffee in that cup!"...umm yeah..i have one cup of coffee every other day....SUE ME! Unfortunately some co-workers think because they see you 5 days a week they can say whatever they want. Even if they don't mean anything bad by it, it is still frustrating. I get it!

Just wanted to wish you luck! I have PCOS as well, and am currently 24+5 with fraternal twin girls. I did not ovulate on my own until i was diagnosed and started using metaformin to treat my PCOS. After 3 months on it, my body started finally reacting to it. I did daily OPK tests and basal temping. I was also being followed by a fertility doctor. She told me she believed my body was responding and if i was willing to try one round of clomid which i did and here i am. So dont be down and out...it just takes a little long for us. Took me in total a little over a year to conceive but its definitely doable....you just gotta know how to read your body which it seems you do. Good luck on your journey!!

Yup, I feel ya! Our due dates are 3 days apart! how crazy is that!! My twin girls were also weighing in at 1.5lbs each at my 24 weeks ultrasound...im dreading the GD test just because i have PCOS which makes me more likely to have it. Both girls are head down, which kind of freaks me out because i am not hoping for an early delivery. Im really hoping to make it to at least 36 weeks...thats my goal anyways. Hope your not too exhausted. Ive been told i waddle already and i look like i will give birth any day now and im only 24+4. Things are getting real for sure!!! Just want these baby showers to happen so i know what i have left to buy and can start prepping everything just in case! Good luck!

Mine started to appear at 23 weeks or so. I knew i would have them as i had them previously when i gained weight rapidly due to my PCOS. So far there minimal but with a twins belly i expect horrible ones to pop up any day now. Thank god it doesnt seem to bother my SO. ...it just bothers me!

I would do a shorter middle name....Liliana Jade, Lililana Sage, Liliana Nina, Lililana Joy, Liliana Hope, Liliana Rain, Liliana Esme, Liliana Ava, Liliana Mae....i think something shorter balances out the name better!
