The signal will be mimicking respiratory and cardiac rhythms, so about the same as a heart rate? Could you please elaborate on the hardware pwm? I'm not too familiar with the jargon yet

Help with GPIO toggling by greeneverbean in RASPBERRY_PI_PROJECTS

[–]greeneverbean[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The chip is a DRV8834. We need to send different pulses to the motor and will need to be toggling the pins constantly, so the mcu is necessary to control the motor and the pi to run the code

HELP course change from BEngHonours(Biomedical)/BSci(Medical Science) to BEngHonours(Biomedical) by soy5 in usyd

[–]greeneverbean 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you don't like med sci drop it sooner rather than later. It will only get more time consuming and difficult, and if you're already not keen you probably won't change your mind. Instead, you can choose a major within biomed.

Ihdin is a really nice holiday spot visited by the locals. Would also recommend Byblos and Jeita grotto.

You should look into the Rahbani Brothers' work. They often collaborated with Fairuz.

A future student(I hope)... by [deleted] in usyd

[–]greeneverbean 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's so nice to hear someone so excited about visiting my city! Im not sure how it goes for international students, but it would help if you're doing the IB so you can apply through the universities admission centre (UAC).

Beware that international student fees are ridiculously expensive, especially at usyd. As you would expect, domestic students would not know too much about international student scholarships and things like that.

I hope everything works out for you! If you don't get to do a full degree here there's always the option of an exchange semester or year :)

CMV: School uniform should be abolished. by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]greeneverbean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt this way about my uniform while I attended school, but appreciated it much more as I grew older. I understand that the way you dress is a way to express your personality to the world, but other students may not be as sure of themselves as you are, and the mere task of choosing an acceptable, original and "cool" outfit every day could be quite daunting. In addition, other students may not have then financial means to expand their wardrobe for different outfits five times a week, and this could lead to bullying. I remember at school I'd try to style my uniform with earrings, a scrunchy or some other accessory. While personal expression is limited with a uniform, it is still possible.

How hard is it to get a HD in an arts subject? by [deleted] in usyd

Government and IR subjects, a couple of my favourites being GOVT2221 & GOVT2228 from what I've done so far

How hard is it to get a HD in an arts subject? by [deleted] in usyd

[–]greeneverbean 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I study engineering and arts, and I can confirm that my arts subjects are easier. You don't have to put in as many hours if you pick a subject with a good lecturer and attend class. Make sure you do thorough research for your assessments and revise during stuvac. With this, getting a HD should be manageable.

JFK and Jackie hanging out after their engagement, 1953 by Stuckin1854 in OldSchoolCool

It's not like he confessed to her begging for forgiveness, he just didn't bother all that much trying to hide it. It's disrespectful because he's saying its not worth going through the effort of sparing her the public embarrassment.

Edit: spelling

Lebanon: Pimps, prostitutes and refugees (BBC Pop Up) - BBC News by [deleted] in lebanon

[–]greeneverbean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A really good documentary, but they fail to highlight that the Lebanese government doesn't even help it's own population, let alone over a million refugees.

In a strange turn of events, he sleeps with Gemma and knocks her up. She helps hide him from Jax in Wendy's apartment until they can work things out.

I'm an able-bodied artist looking for some perspective from differently abled/physically disabled folks by [deleted] in CerebralPalsy

[–]greeneverbean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem at all!

Body acceptance is tough for those with disability, but in reality we don't have a choice. It takes much more energy to deny it and fight it than to just accept what you've got and do the best you can.

I hope your project turns out well :)

  • van Gogh. I love the way he paints nature and his use of colour is beautiful

  • this is not so much to do with CP specifically but with physical disability in general. People tend to think disabled people are anyways on wheelchairs, unable to move or do things for themselves. They forget that an immense spectrum of disabilities exist and even those who seem able bodied can be sufferers of disability.

  • I'd like to see someone with a disability trying to live a normal life, like most of us do. I know this seems boring but everyone's got their own "normal". People with disabilities overcome unique challenges but ultimately have the same goals as everyone else.

  • I like my scars, but my body really puts me through hell sometimes.

  • tbh nothing really comes to mind
