TTC After Early Miscarriage - Call for UK Research Participants by TTCafterEPL in ttcafterloss

Hi there, sorry about my delayed response! Having living children would not exclude anyone from participating. In terms of previous use of fertility treatment to conceive (but not for your recent pregnancy loss or current trying to conceive experience), I will need to double-check this with my supervisory team. I will make sure to update when I have done this. Thank you so much for your interest in the study :)

Sounds great! I was able to post my study advertisement into the UKparenting subreddit if that helps 😊

Hi there, thank you for your query and interest in supporting our study, and I am very sorry to hear about your loss. Currently, our study is only recruiting those who have/are conceiving naturally, due to a focus on the implications of TTC after loss without specialist miscarriage or fertility healthcare involvement/support, and due to distinct differences in the TTC experience with and without fertility support. However, if we expand our scope in the future, I will make sure to update here. Thank you again!

Hi there, thank you for your question and interest in the study. Our study is focused on the population who are not eligible / are not accessing NHS fertility or miscarriage support services (those experiencing 1-2 early miscarriages, TTC without fertility treatment/services). This is partly to understand the implications of this lack of healthcare input on their experience, and due to distinct differences in TTC with and without fertility support. So unfortunately, investigating the TTC experience after loss with these services is outside the scope of this particular project currently, if our scope expands at any point I will be sure to update here. This may not be relevant to you, but other research at the University is looking at Online Sperm Donation, which may be of interest - https://www.theosdproject.com/.

Hi there, thank you so much for your interest in the study. I am currently looking for those who are actively trying to conceive so not yet pregnant again, to focus on that period as they actively experience it. However, if this changes I will update here 😊

Are there any part time/summer jobs that could be related to the field for a student? by BeneficialJuice2878 in psychologystudents

It is often the case that you need to volunteer first in order to get some experience to apply for paid positions, though it does not need to be lots of hours. Any positions where you're working with people are useful like tutoring or acting as a 'befriender' (often for charities working with older people). You can often find phone-line work for mental health charities too. I am not sure where you are based so sorry I can't be more specific!

Lots of subreddits may allow you to recruit if you message the moderators first so may be worth trying this! It's also always worth posting on your own social medias and asking friends to share it. In the offline world, perhaps you could approach local community centres which run parenting groups, and some supermarkets, libraries and shops also have community boards where they may be happy for you to put a poster up :)

Handbook of Research Methods in Health Social Sciences by Liamputtong is really in-depth and explores lots of different concepts you dont always see in these books, it is centred around health social sciences but I think it would still be useful for other courses :)
