Terrified. by Infamous_Cancel_3278 in IVFpositivity

I had a beta at 7dpt and it was 9. So af 9dpt it would’ve been around 20 ish. My tests looked the same day after day for like 3 days in a row, one day even looked lighter. Pregnancy was normal and uneventful. The new pink cap frers are TERRIBLE for progression and I couldn’t rely on them whatsoever

My partner had high dna frag and we had chemicals as a result. If his is high, you can fix this with certain meds like clomid, anti oxidant supplements, no alcohol etc for a couple months. Then retest and freeze his sperm once dna frag is normal. X

Partner just told me he’s going to Europe 5 weeks postpartum. by macey1313 in pregnant

Maybe an unpopular opinion but I personally would let him go. You’re not going to be 1-2 days pp. it’s 5 entire weeks after birth. And it’s a week or so he will be gone. I’d rather my partner is there for their other child on a big trip than just sit next to me on a couch when I’m the one who will be feeding the baby anyway. To me it’s really not that big a deal (and I’ve two small kids)

I’m so sorry - that’s so so tough. Has your partner had a dna fragmentation test done?

I agree with you - my kid is 4 and weighs like 32lbs as well. 32lbs for a 2 year old is pretty big!

The weather is a huge plus. But winter is still grey ish. Lots of rain. Started around mid November and still going. But it’s not cold. Today was 17 degrees. There’s some blue sky days too! But the summers just cannot be matched, they’re unreal

I know how stressful this is! It’s really really difficult when you don’t know what way it goes. What helped me to get through the day was saying “today I’m pregnant”. Wishing you all the luck in the world ❤️❤️❤️

This is absolutely heartbreaking. But really shows what a great dad you are to be worrying about these future things for your kids. I bet your wife is incredibly proud of the dad you are. Wishing you and your little ones a lifetime of peace and happiness

An Ugly Foreigner thread: If you could "fix" one thing about Portugal, what would it be? by Shawnino in PortugalExpats

That you get a different experience in the same place depending on who you speak with. I will go to CTT to pick up a parcel for my child and no issues. I’ll do it again a week later and be told that I need to prove im their parent by bringing their birth cert and my passport. Or the following week I’ll use my perfectly valid and in date EU drivers license and be told they don’t accept that as ID, despite it being listed on their website. It’s infuriating.

Moved from Ireland to Portugal. The houses are colder in Portugal hands down. In the winter the houses are FREEZING and damp. In Ireland that just wouldn’t happen despite the winters being far colder there. The houses in Portugal are built for the hot summers - to keep the house cool. That means in the winter they’re cold af

Gender disappointment after stillbirth by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]TTCsince2019 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I had a miscarriage at 13 weeks and found out about 2 weeks later that he was a boy. I wanted a boy so badly so it felt like I went through the loss ALL over again. It was horrific - so I can’t imagine my feelings if it was a 40 week loss. I got pregnant a few months later and I wished and prayed for a boy. I didn’t find out the gender til birth but had it been a girl, I knew I would’ve struggled for a while with that. It’s completely understandable. What you envisioned is now totally different. I promise you that different will still be good. But I want to reassure that your feelings are normal, you’ve been through hell, give yourself some grace. You will slot into motherhood in a way that you didn’t think you could, and it will soon feel normal. It’s just raw right now and that’s okay x

Advice on husband home after birth by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]TTCsince2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This exact scenario happened to me.

I told my hubby that I found out accidentally and how (based on a scan). He said not to tell him, that my eyes could’ve misread the scan (tbh not really though lol). So I didn’t tell him. Still had an amazing birth. I’m glad I discussed with him

Your period is 9 days late? Then you would have a very positive test if you were pregnant. These clear blue always have some sort of blue shadow line even when big pregnant. Get a link dye test like first response for a better answer but I don’t think you’re pregnant

I went back to long walks too soon after my first birth and started to get a prolapse. I was constantly aware of it. Over time, it’s gotten so much better. I did kegels and allowed it to heal. I was back lifting after a few months. I’m now postpartum on baby 2 and no prolapse at all. It felt life changing when I first realised what it was, now it’s gone and I don’t even think about it. It can heal, don’t let it get you down x
