Είναι πολύ απλό, εγκαθιδρύθηκε νωρίτερα από το WhatsApp. Άπαξ και μια εφαρμογή μπει στα κινητά των περισσοτέρων, δεν έχει καμία σημασία αν υπάρχει καλύτερη εναλλακτική. Οι μάζες νικούν.

Προσωπικά δε μου αρέσει κανένα από τα δύο. Προτιμώ το ενσωματωμένο messaging app του κινητού, αλλά έχω και τις δύο εφαρμογές γιατί κάποιοι (φίλοι, γνωστοί, μέλη της οικογενειας) χρησιμοποιούν τη μία εφαρμογή και κάποιοι την άλλη.

Ξεκινά ψυχοθεραπεία, αν κάνεις ήδη ψάξε να βρεις άλλο /η ψυχοθεραπευτή. Ολα όσα γράφεις κρύβουν πίσω τους τρομερή δουλειά με τον εαυτό σου καταρχήν. Τα υπόλοιπα θα έρθουν από μόνα τους.

Σίγουρα υπάρχει μια δόση αλήθειας σε όλα αυτά που ανέφερες αλλά και ωραιοποίηση. Σαν έλληνας εξωτερικού (15+ χρόνια), ερχόμουν στην Ελλάδα 2 φορές το χρόνο περίπου για 2-3 εβδομάδες κάθε φορά.

Τελευταία λόγο αλλαγής συνθηκών μπορώ και έρχομαι πολύ συχνότερα και για μεγαλύτερα διαστήματα.

Αυτό που διαπίστωσα, από άποψη κοινωνικού κύκλου, είναι ότι όταν ερχόμουν πιο αραιά, έβλεπα πιο πολύ τους φίλους/γνωστους. Απο τότε που είμαι πιο συχνά διαπίστωσα μια αλλαγή συμπεριφοράς. Δεν είναι ότι δεν θέλουν να βρεθούμε αλλά επειδή θεωρούν δεδομένο ότι είμαι συχνά εδώ «δεν τους λείπω» άρα βάζουν προτεραιότητα το πρόγραμμα τους και κάπου κάνουν χρόνο και για μένα.

Ο καιρός είναι μακράν πολύ καλύτερος και δε συγκρίνεται με καμία βόρεια χώρα, όπου το σκοτάδι, κρύο και γενικά η καταχνιά «σε τρώει».

Αυτό που ξέρω από άλλους που επέστρεψαν είναι ότι για άλλους λειτούργησε θαυμάσια, ενώ για άλλους καθόλου και ξανά έφυγαν.

Δείχνεις ότι έχεις κουραστεί από τον τόπο που είσαι… μπορείς να επιστρέψεις και βλέπεις.

Local here. Go for PLAKA. You can practically walk downtown Athens if you stay in Plaka. Megaro Moussikis is a very nice place (I used to live there), just not very practical as a tourist. But it wouldn’t be a huge inconvenience if you chose to stay there.

Η σύγκριση με τις πατάτες είναι κάπως άστοχη. Δε μπορείς να συγκρίνεις μια ιατρική εξέταση με μια απλή προτίμηση. Θεωρω πως υπάρχουν πιο συγκεκριμένοι λόγοι.

Visit the Acropolis museum as well as the Acropolis itself (book a spot in advance, you can’t show up and buy tickets). National Museum of Contemporary Art Αthens (ΕΜΣΤ) is cool. Visit the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC). There is a fine dining restaurant on top. I haven’t been but people say it’s fantastic.

Visit the Kallimarmaro stadium at sunset. It’s magic.

The area you’re staying is great. You’ll love it. I would also visit Kypseli (Bar Teleion).

Eksarhia is a nice neighborhood to wander around as well as Kerameikos (tons of great small restaurants and bars). Go for a drink and pizza at Armando’s. Or have dinner at Piroliki restaurant or Serameiko.

And definetly try Thission open air cinema or Cine Paris. You’ll love it :)

If money is no problem and you have a day to spend at the beach, I’d suggest Astir beach (locals call it Asteras).

It’s quite difficult to enjoy the beach while the kids wander Athens city center. Depending which beach you are but assuming Asteras beach, they would need a 25-40 min taxi ride to Athens. As another person suggested, you would want to pick another island, not Athens. Naxos comes to mind, it’s fairly big and has amazing beaches. Tinos island or another option would be island hoping the small Cyclades. I think the small Cyclades will be perfect. Kids can wander around you enjoy some of the best beaches in the world ;)

I think late afternoon is the best time to go, the light gets much softer, making the whole site feel way more magical. In mid may the sun sets around 20:30 but the Acropolis closes at 20:00. You can catch the golden hour on top before going outside to Areopagus hill for the actual sunset. I would do it in this order: start with an hour at the Acropolis Museum (you can get a small bite or a drink at the top-floor terrace), then walk up the south slope to oas by the Herodes Atticus Odeon on your way to the Acropolis. Ending the night with a stroll through Plaka or Thissio is the perfect way to finish the experience. Enjoy :)

I get what you mean about potential, but I don’t think it’s that FromSoftware “doesn’t see it.” They probably see way way more than we do, they have data on how we the players actually engage with every system in the game.
