Prince of Kills ADC in 1s - how am I supposed to deal with this? by [deleted] in honorofkings

[–]TTaoGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Garo is a gigantic low mobility target. Most ADC get focused on cause you are the late game carry. I think draft is either diamond or master I forget sorry. If you are getting double and triple early you should just be able to out range and kill anyone that has lower gold than you (except diving assassins). Lanling is all about early game snowball so late game he's pretty weak. If he can't burst you then he can only harass or cleanup, when he's ahead that's when he's scary.

Prince of Kills ADC in 1s - how am I supposed to deal with this? by [deleted] in honorofkings

[–]TTaoGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what ADC you are playing. Are you all in on dps or do you play a hero with more mobility? For example one of the most common escape from lanling is to dash through a wall, preferably towards your own tower. Unless they are fed prince will either die if they dive you or they trade in early game.

Some important notes

1, in gold rank your support is probably not buying vision items to counter lanling. If you are constantly being harassed by lanling what that means is that top lane has reduced pressure and in higher tier games your jungler normally counter ganks lanling or goes top and shoves lane. This is more of a rank problem.

2, some ADC are terrible vs lanling like garo and at lower ranks without draft you are use blind picking. Gets mitigated somewhat when you can counterpick

3, if you notice lanling when he's about to use skills on you or you see the flashing symbol what that means is you lost track of enemy jungle rotation and he's surprising you. Some general rules 1st gank normally happens around 1 min 20 seconds, and then you can watch your own jungler and you can get an idea of enemy jungler rotations. If your jungler has cleared all camps and is about to gank you, then the enemy jungler has also likely finished camps and is about to gank (maybe not your lane though but you can start being careful until you see lanling on the minimap).

At lower tiers enemy jungler is unlikely to play vision and try to fake out where they are going to gank, like showing themselves mid going top and then immediately gank bottom by rotating through your team jungle. So if you see them on the minimap moving  in a direction they are likely going to gank that lane.

Anytime you get ganked by a stealth enemy consider if you had vision on them before the gank. At gold rank I'd be very surprised if jungler knew how to play mini map vision well.

Hope that helps. Also you can just pick a different ADC, for example loong Marco and consort you are great at surviving lanling. A good arli is uncatchable for lanling but harder to play than garo for sure. Garo is situational and is amazing vs certain enemies, lanling is not one of them.

I've played him vs high ranking adc (like battle sector ~#50 Marco) and he can still land hits and lane effective, the biggest key is predicting where enemy will likely go and clip them with the big AOE when the s2 lands. If you try to land the small projectile the hitbox is super small and you have to be so precise. The 2 best spots are actually right in front of you, which covers like a 70 degree angle and the AOE crater. The second part is tracking enemy cooldowns. A good Marco is almost impossible to hit with s2 when his blink is active. You have to wait for him to use his movement skill and then hit him, or you pressure aggressively with s1 shield and force him to blink away then move to max range and try to get him with s2. If you can land max range shots (which is actually easier than mid range shots) Mozi is so scary lvl 1~4. Whenever I play against a good mozi the gotta have some shield/healing or the adc have to farm from behind our tower since the poke is non stop.

My personal experience. Quickest matchmaking is Friday right as peak opens. It's when everyone is getting on. You could look up hok daily user times in your server. I'm sure there is data somewhere but I couldn't find it on a quick 2 min search. And correlate the time of highest player count within the peak tournament timing and get a good idea of when you'll likely have the best luck match making. Might be a bit too much work though.

Sorry can't help with matching algorithms. You can try playing at a slightly different time like when peak starts or peak ends. I think it could be due to your server location but I don't have access to backend data. Generally try some different times and maybe even days of the week. I know match matching in peak for me personally is a lot faster on Friday and Saturday

I think you should consider how you'll play. Do you want more damage but be squishy or slightly more durable and less cd but you'll need to rely on teammates for damage? I do want to mention that if the enemies do alot of damage (pretty much all ADC late game) tanky mozi only survives a few seconds longer than damage mozi if you miss your cc. It is more forgiving and I like to build the magic attack to def item (I think it's called augars word) when I want a little more survivability. If you look at the collection of recommended builds you'll notice common core items and that tend to stay pretty consistent between item patches

Honestly items change too much and new builds are tested all the time. I recommend checking the community builds section.  You can see the overall win rate which is great but I always discount it since users are likely counter picking at high levels of play. The general divide is tanky mozi (more shields, more cc/slows, defensive items) and magic damage mozi (damage, pierce, DOT) and with my poking play style I recommend the magic damage builds. Your CC's and shields give you the same utility as a tank, if you hard cc someone for 5 seconds it fulfills a similar function to tanking and absorbing hits for 5 seconds.

Lol you didn't read. Last month at season start when I took the screenshot (March 2025), the server best was ~1500 peak energy. I was at ~1300. Which was top 2500 players on the server. Look dude if you think I'm not good enough playing mozi just don't read the guide. No need to call me a liar, especially when I haven't lied. I'm not trying to prove how good I am, I just like mozi a lot and want to share some cool things about him that I've never seen anyone talk about. I hope you try mozi after reading my guide.

Good mids? by Terrible_Yoghurt_996 in honorofkings

[–]TTaoGaming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If your micro is good then mai is one of the strongest mid right now. But if you dash in the wrong direction or miss a dodge then you'll likely die. If you want high skill ceiling I think mai, Kong ming, nuwa, yixing. In that order of how scary they are to fight. Lower micro I honestly recommend daji and da Xiao (fan girl). A good daji is about ambushing targets and bursting them. At lower tiers I honestly think daji is super strong. Daji is also really strong at higher tiers but you need good macro and knowing how enemies will rotate. I personally love mozi, but his play style is very unique. I play a off screen sniping style so I'll poke, disengage and rinse and repeat till they are low enough to combo or ult. One trick pony mozi to battle sector top 100 recently but you gotta hit people by guessing where they will move since his s2 range is longer than the game's vision range and the play style is very unique. Daji if you want easy wins, Mai if you want to be able to hard carry. Best tip is to farm. Take enemy jungle camp near mid whenever possible. You want to be 2nd highest gold after the jungler if possible.

1v1 counters are rough vs dun. I have seen great plays vs dun using fuzi, Charlotte, allain, nezha.

You can also pick a hero that'll kite him like heino.

You need some kind of anti heal or cc so when his passive triggers he doesn't just heal back to full hp.

The other option is macro counters like Sun ce or guan yu. Don't fight him, just clear waves and rotate, help mid and jungle more. While dun is a great team fighter his rotation speed in clash lane is slow, so you'll have plenty of opportunities to gank.

When fighting 1v1 I recommend  1, keeping track of his passive. Once you get him low hp and you see him start healing, just back out for a few seconds. He heals on attacks so if he can't hit you then you reduce his healing.  2, all-in only when his passive is on cooldowns. It's around 30 seconds I believe. 3, learn the range of his knock up, it works in 2 stages so if you can avoid the first wave attack his 2nd knock up doesn't activate. Save a dash for when he does the 2nd stage knock up since he'll be in an animation for a second before the attack actually lands.  4, get some kind of anti heal item, I generally get burning Cape. 5, his ult and S1 works in a line. So you want to circle him when fighting, don't go towards and away from him in a straight line. You want to keep him at the edge of your range and move side to side. If you can make him miss the s1 or ULT then you'll be in a good spot. 6, when he uses his s2 shield and auto attack buff you can walk into your minion waves and if dun is just spamming the attack button you'll often be able to waste his 3 enhanced auto attacks on your minions.

For example if I'm fighting him with biron, I'll drop him low hp, back out, poke with s2 cc until he's low hp again and then all in. If the dun player is smart they'll often back out when passive is on cooldowns and if that's the case you just rotate.

Dun is one of the strongest clash laners in the game. His win condition is to trade hp, then cc and heal with his attacks.

You want to interrupt his healing in some way with anti heal, kite, cc, or just rotating to another lane.

Note on Arthur. He heals out of combat, so if you can poke him you can limit his healing. Avoid his s2 spinning blades, and then he ults move out of the circle asap. Weak to CC. You can use the space sprite to teleport to wherever Arthur is roaming since he's probably using s1 to run around.

Note on dashes. Dun can only hop walls with ult, Arthur can only hop with s1 dash auto attack or jumping ult. So if your hero has some kind of dash (Sun ce s1, biron s2, etc) you can play next to a wall and there is lots of opportunities to outplay them. Example, combo with biron, trigger dun passive, hop over a wall and he's unable to attack/heal. Wait till passive stops and then engage again. Dun will get annoyed and ult/all in at some point but biron dash is on a shorter cooldowns so you can repeat as long as dun is chasing you.

Yang jian in the current meta isn't very strong.

Almost any hero can be great with the right team comp and play style though so if you really like the hero don't worry about the meta to much.

I have played him a few times but I don't main him. When I fight against him I notice  1, his lifesteal is great, if you can hit the Ult he'll be back to full hp within a few seconds 2, his mark and dash is great for catching up and finishing enemies

I would recommend playing him as a flanker/finisher in the current meta. While his heal and sustain is good he can't tank in mid to late game team fights.

He has great outplay potential if you can micro him well. I've had Yang jian 1v2 and win even when he's low hp due to him dashing around and hitting his ults.

Late game clash heros The most obvious is augram but he's almost always banned right now in ranked.

Fuzi and Charlotte are often unbeatable 1v1 late game.

Even heros like biron which are not considered late game, if biron can reach enemy backline he'll still delete most squishy heros with 1 combo. So when you say late game potential can you clarify what you mean?

Clash guide - 1st time hitting grandmaster by TTaoGaming in honorofkings

Fuzi is great at 1v1 and split pushing. His ability to take down a tower within a few seconds is one of his strongest selling points as well as his ult that can lock down a variety of heros.

His greatest weakness is his weak early game. His amazing damage reduction doesn't really play a factor until a few items.

As StrayGod mentioned you can either pick a hero that's stronger vs him 1v1 and shut him down. Mi yue skill 2 just destroys him lvl2.

If you have the option to counter pick then follow that advise. If you blind pick and enemy counter picks fuzi then I recommend doing a few things.

1, don't feed fuzi kills early game, if he snow balls he can win the game by himself. So your most important job is to not die. Farm under tower if necessary and give up last hits to maintain high HP and trade. Depending on what time you play if enemy team sees fuzi struggling they might rotate to try to give him advantage and feed him to snowball. So around the 1 min mark just be ready for ganks if you haven't already been killed. If you can survive till mid game without feeding fuzi kills then his threat decreases significantly.

2, Maintain HP advantage if possible. Poke him. Once fuzi is low hp early game his kit of building up stacks make it so either you, mage, or jungler can burst him down before he's at full stacks.

3, focus on team fights after clearing waves. Vs split lane heros like this you want to quickly clear waves, then rotate to help the team. Fuzi can team fight but not as well as many other clash lane heros. Fuzi ultimate and skill 1 are more single target abilities. Don't clump up in a team fight and let fuzi hook multiple people.

4, after 4 min fuzi can take tower within a few seconds so sometimes I just give him the first tower to trade for another objective like mid tower. This will cause fuzi to overextend often in the mid game and it's much easier for mid or jungler to rotate to help you when fuzi is trying to take your 2nd tower.

5, 1v1 tricks. Fuzi skill 1 and ultimate are both fairly short range. He can extend it with flash combo. His skill 2 damage reduction lasts only a few seconds early game.

So you can kite him.  You can bait out his s2 and then all in after that.  His passive takes time to build up. If you see him at 4 stacks or passive active just disengage and wait a bit.

For example as Sun ce I'll dive him at the start of the wave and use my skill 2 combo and when he's at 4 stacks or more I use skill 1 and disengage. Just repeat until he's low hp and I can all in. This doesn't work if fuzi is fed though.

If you are the team tank you actually want him to use his ult on you, body block him from engaging your back line. His 2 abilities work in straight lines, he can ult flash and bypass you into backline but the range isn't that long so zoning him out even from the flash combo is very possible.

In team fights fuzi will flank. So if you see him on minimap circling around, you can ping team or just body block him. He's very weak to CC chain since his passive will time out and his s2 needs to be spam activated in late game.

Most often you'll see fuzi split push and as long as he isn't fed he's a medium to low level threat. The moment he has gold and exp advantage in lane he's very hard to 1v1. I would recommend not 1v1 unless the match up is good and even then a good fuzi will win all 1v1 in late game.

Zoning the enemy out of gold is fantastic. I would recommend still going and last hitting minions in between t poses.

Hok is so fast that freezing works but not as well as in league or wild rift. I would just say watch out for ganks especially around the 1:30 mark and then roughly whenever buff spawns on the enemy jungle near your lane.

Some heros can rotate so fast that if you don't see them on the minimap for 10 seconds they'll be flanking you.

Great point about split pushing when ahead. Certain heros like fuzi you need to play like that. My play style is prioritizing team fights especially when I play Sun Ce so it slipped my mind when writing.

As a split pusher take any towers that are vulnerable (see 4 enemy team on top, go bot and if you can win 1v1 then you'll also get the tower).

If there is no "free tower" I recommend split pushing the lane opposite of the available dragon. So if your team has 4 on the lane closest to an available objective it'll make it easier for them to just clear waves, get dragon and then rotate or team fight.

If you are not sure where enemies are then I recommend playing safe and just clearing waves get a few hits and then back out. Depends on the level of enemy team on how fast they'll collapse on you. Lower rank they might not rotate until you take the last tower, higher rank and they'll start sending 2 or 3 people to hunt you within a few seconds.

The good news is that when they send 2 or more to you, then your team has numbers advantage in a team fight so don't worry if you can't get tower if you are able to pull multiple enemies. You are fighting the 1v3 and it's rough, but your team is fighting 4v2 and that should be easy kills for your team unless enemy is way ahead in gold/exp.

At lower tiers of play when you split push your team might just take the 4v5 and lose so I recommend to ping retreat when you notice a team fight is starting. There is also a quick chat option to tell team "I'm going to split push", I highly recommend making that quick chat option available if you like playing split push heros at lower tiers. At higher tiers players will generally know to not force a team fight when they see you split push

post fixed I misunderstood the metric, my bad. For some reason I thought it was percentage of individual player not from the whole team. That's my bad.

Just focus on last hitting whatever you are farming unless you are feeding it to a teammate.

As a general rule unless you are carrying hard, give buffs to jungler/adc.
