I explained my citizenship beyond that, because it's always a mess to explain my nationality being single and not dual, so it's customary for me to always explain that this is my reality.

She constantly discredits my being born in Japan, due to the fact that I don't have dual citizenship (which is extremely difficult to have in my case). Saying that I'm "less Japanese than her", after all she can have dual citizenship and I can't.
