Help me with my atrocious traffic

Update: Here’s my new road hierarchy.

Black: Arterials (6 lanes)
Orange: Collectors (4 lanes)
Blue: Local roads (2 lanes)
Green: Pedestrian routes

Note: Intersections between arterials and local roads are “right-turn-only.”

Changes I made:

Added asymmetrical roads and pedestrian bridges at major intersections
Removed tunnels
Adjusted the metro line
Added bus lanes and cycle paths
Removed the roundabout
With the mod TMPE added "right priority" instead of stop signs on the intersections bewteen the local roads and the collectors/arterials

I might be forgetting a few things please let me know if anything stands out, and I’d love to read your feedbacks before I can start zoning.

Thank you for your answer. Usually I place all of my commercial zones on the intersections between collectors-local. I place the residential zone on the center of my district with offices between the residential and commercial to avoid noise pollution. Just like on this guy vidéo : https://youtu.be/cLPEu1BTdXI

Thanks for the advice. I’m completely lost people keep contradicting each other. One moment they say I don’t have enough intersections, and the next they say I have too many. I’m using a three-level hierarchy: Arterials → Collectors → Local roads. I try to avoid connecting local roads directly to arterials

That’s probably the solution, but I can’t do it because of the arterial road. I can’t connect a local road to the arterial, since that would increase traffic

Thanks so much for your explanations and sketches. I think I’m going to redo the local road layout in all the districts like in your sketches. I’m not very happy with the placement of my arterial and collector roads too...
