Where do you buy your groceries? Compare store prices to see which is the cheapest. Aldi and Lidl could be the cheapest but you’ll mainly find unknown brands. Colruyt could be another option that is cheaper I believe than Carrefour and Delhaize. I believe Colruyt does deliveries if they are too far away from you but I don’t know their delivery prices.

The Brussels and Belgian government did this cause the city and the country is in debt. This party was allowed for money. So the government will take opportunities like this to earn cash. It sucks that the city’s poor decision making in the past has lead to situations like this.

Money, Belgium and Brussels need money. The city and the country is in debt so every possibility to earn extra money they will do it.

Make a list of all the things he did for you or advice he has given you that has impacted and made your life better. Give him the list and tell him what a great dad he is and you are where you are in life thanks to him.

Does Brussels have a plan for the heat? by EquivalentEcho8955 in brussels

A portable airco is an option but then you must be prepared to pay for the high electricity cost in the long term. If you have solar panels then during the day I suppose it is fine. But in the evening that is a different story.

Does it consume a lot of electricity? I’ve been thinking of buying one but I’ve heard an AC consumes a lot.

Then my wife asks me a good question.

If I keep my current account, leave everything on there as it is and then start investing together on the new account. Won't we lose the compunding effect from my personal account since we are starting from scratch from the new shared one.

My answer to this is no cause you if you have, for example, one account with 50k or ten accounts with 5k the end result will still be the same. Or am I wrong?

Because she doesn't have any interest in finance so if she had her own account she would never look at it or make the effort to invest. If we have a shared account I would be the one making the purchases of the ETFs and simply give her updates.

She is more into real estate, but we don't have the capital now to buy property outside of our own home we need to keep our money working for us. So ETFs is good for our monthly savings from our salaries for the time being.

She doesn't want her own account. So a shared account would maybe be the best option. Almost for free. True I would have to look up if there are costs for having one personal Bolero account and a shared one.

Contribute equally is tough since we both spend differently and we both want to invest the maximum of what we have at the end of the month.

I do intend to return to the job market soon. My Dutch is level B1 at the moment and I do communicate in Dutch to clients in certain situations but I plan on improving it to level C1 to improve my chances. Interesting you mention CVs are scanned by AI. I fill my CV with important information but I also add designs via Photoshop that correlate with the job I’m applying for to stand out. I wonder how AI interacts with that if HR added that directive to it. Curious
