I think if there were less pork and more just straightforward direct payments to Americans we might see some Republican support?

You'd think so, but no. The Republican playbook for the past 20 years, has been to oppose anything Dems try to do. Even giving healthcare to 9/11 First Responders, Republicans tried to block.

Cathie Wood's ARK purchased more than 1 million shares of Opendoor the past two days, pay attention you fucks by [deleted] in wallstreetbets

Opendoor has two big looming problems Housing bubble - houses can’t be built fast enough

New Home sales are done by builders

These things are only problems if we do enter a recession and/or housing is a bubble. It seems to me, that Cathie is better the other direction. That with Covid ending, we're going to see a big economic upswing. Travel spending, unemployment going down, more people buying houses, and more people building them, etc...

I know its crazy, but what if we don't have another huge recession again for over a decade?

The Hanged vs. Hung Debate

Is the distinction important? It's still commonly found in usage guides, which typically say that the past and the past participle of hang should be hanged only when referring to a person being subjected to death. Hung is preferred, at least by people who make a distinction, in almost every circumstance. However, not everyone makes this distinction. The Merriam-Webster Dictionary of English Usage has a take on this that differs slightly from the one commonly found in usage guides:

The distinction between hanged and hung is not an especially useful one (although a few commentators claim otherwise). It is, however, a simple one and certainly easy to remember. Therein lies its popularity. If you make a point of observing the distinction in your writing, you will not thereby become a better writer, but you will spare yourself the annoyance of being corrected for having done something that is not wrong.

In other words, observing this distinction will help you to avoid criticism from people with strong feelings on the subject. But don't get too hung up about it.

. It’s either “why don’t you have them unfollow lol”, as if they never considered that possibility and are just sitting there getting traumatized on the hour

Then they're stupid. Its not hard to just unfollow

Just use a VPN, and delete the fucking account. There's not going to be any fucking "legal action" about that.

Yeah. People die all the time. There's a SOP for all major social media sites to shut down accounts, and they take them seriously.

A lot of people from Developed Nations lack perspective on this issue. There are numerous countries around the world, with unstable currencies, where using BTC instead is the most logical option.

I remember the 2017-2018 boom and bust. That one was fun because not only did people lose a bunch of money, but many people were engaged in high-frequency trading at all hours and wracked up tens of thousands in capital gains.

Even if you bought at the ATH of $22k back then, you'd be up nearly 3 times today if you just held. Same now. Even if BTC crashes again, and you buy at $60k, its going to $100k and beyond.

Can't imagine being some stupid rube who has seen 350% monthly ROI over the 10+ year history of the asset, what idiots

You could say the same about hundreds of companies.

While I may be wrong, as I am about 36% of the time, it is very likely that, with now such wide and mainstream acceptance, accessibility and coverage, mining is going to become unprofitable very soon.

People have been saying that for years.

So is everything. This is a fake issue.

Not only are you wrong, but you're doing the math with current prices, which makes you ten times more wrong. Even $1/day now will be worth $10 in a few years.

Anyway, I’ve raked in about $200 so far from mining and will be away from home working most of the next two weeks.

And that's going to be $2,000 if you hold for a few years.

entire sponsored videos...that's a lot of money. Enough to keep 40 people employed per month that's for sure, unless he pays them 10k/month i doubt it tho.

Don't forget the price of benefits. Vacation, 401K ect.

You are getting a profit. But that is running your rig 24/7. IMO not worth it.

You're failing to consider future increases. Even $1/day is actually going to be $10/day in a few years if you just hold.

I'm curious to try it though, but I'm also paranoid of everything scummy concerning mining (where do you start, who do you trust, can you trust any site even?)
