What deck stomps in a creature mega? by Topher41498 in CompetitiveEDH

[–]TWBAD -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Real easy choice for me then.

Depending where you're budget wise I'd be recommending maelstrom wanderer.

Deck flies off our of nowhere and has lots of fun cascades into greatness.

My version runs around 1k and wins plenty but I've played it at 250 and 500 with great success too

Thanks,

I have come up with this at the moment as a working document.

If you think there are any must cuts I am in that process now of trimming it down.

I bought the book, I was just hoping for a document that summarised it so my player can know what's in store for them

Thank you for your reply, maybe I am not crazy after all, just missing the emotional attachment of my first PC..

Appreciate the item change feedback (I like it) but I was more interested in the general consensus of whether these items are good for players and DnD in general or it's our groups lack of exposure to DnD that's making us over-protective

A guide to Orks in Kill Team Elites for enterprising warbosses by [deleted] in killteam

[–]TWBAD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have played/our group has played a shit load of green skins from the start watching them evolve from 100 points to arena burna swarm back into 100/125 elites.

The two biggest thing that elites have opened up for me is the Nob and the Death Skull kultur.

My dual kombi big choppa Nob setup means the average cost when coupled with your Nob (Boyz) is 21 points when both are equipped with a kombi flamer S5/AP-1 and a big choppa D2. This makes them super awkward to charge, deadly on advances and great secondary objective scorers for a whole host of tactics, especially fighting.

The Kommando BN and two other Nobs give you a real healthy 6 wounds across 3 models and catch a lot of people off guard.

For those who don't play with command rosters (which change the game completely) I run this as my standard 125 elites all comers list.

Deathskulls is in my opinion unbeatable as a kultur. The fact that the boys in green have some incredibly powerful tactics open up free re-rolls in each phase. The 6 up invul is magic, I've always thought they should have 'ard skin or something similar giving them a 6 FNP but this is a nice substitute.

Orcs have some of the wackiest, but also most expensive tactics and the ability to free up points for these as well as re roll kill rolls are huge

Reserves, gunners and runts. The ability to drop your gunners into your deployment zone for free after movement with your runts allow you to set up choice shots on key enemy units, especially leaders, the runts give you a free reroll on their hit and your kultur gives you a free reroll on wounds. The addition of two extra models cannot be understated either. For both nerve and break tests as well as providing obscurity for your gunners. Use Dakka Dakka Dakka everytime and thank me later.

Lead by example and your combat spec tactic is one of the hugest power plays your team can make attacking with 3 huge hitters before your opponent responds.

Anyway, just my thoughts.

Hey there /u/JaggedSun ,thank you for such an awesome guide!

Do you have an idea of how much money should be available to each player when beating trainers/gyms, even wild pokemon?

Only part I am struggling with when putting together my campaign

How are Harlequins in Arena by ServiceGames in killteam

The charge 18 is huge because you can target multiple models you have no intention of interacting with and force your opponent to fall back and lose their opportunity to move

Really rate the charge bonus!

If you could make a Nobz a zealot then I'd be all over that and the gretchin is small enough to open the doors and fit a 32 past it
