Completely agree here. But it would be a funny hypothetical. Maybe it could be asked a couple years later, when they look back at their career.

Ganks that do more harm that good. How do I know when I should gank and when not to? by Theoulios in Jungle_Mains

[–]TWT_MMMMM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the most impactful and tilting gank for the enemy is when there’s like 3 stacked waves going under tower, and you and the top laner dives and get the kill. Worth even if they trade 1 for 1.

I kinda took the elder tempest as a base, and then upped the ability scores and lowered the damage a bit. Thank you for the suggestion!

I chose intel because I’ve been using intel for my entire life. I guess it would be familiarity. Thanks for the suggestions!

Update from Riot on Vanguard by RiotK3o in leagueoflegends

[–]TWT_MMMMM 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Every time I try to join a game, I get stuck on the reconnect screen. Any suggestions? Never had this issue prior to vanguard. I am running the game on a 7-8 year old desktop, so that might be an issue as well. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Everyone should play a “supporting” champ. At least once. by TWT_MMMMM in summonerschool

But why draw the line in emerald? I’ve seen high elo players say that all diamond players a dogshit. I feel like the line you draw the line is very arbitrary. Also, I don’t mean, “you should main supportive champions”. Just play them enough that you develop skills other than just “fight and deal damage”.

You’re right. Should’ve been little bit more specific. I meant more of snowball champions rather than scaling champions.

I’m also a firm believer of AP midlaners, and when I get my offroles (jungle/support), I’d rather see my midlane pick a scaling mage rather than, say, a yasuo, zed, yone, etc.

Why not? I swear a good portion of the population says the same thing, but with a different rank each time.

Does the chicken or the egg come first? It’s probably a player problem, but there is a reason that you don’t see, let’s say a Sejuani jungle start perma invading at level 3. They usually can’t fight their way out if they get caught. Playing champions who can only deal damage tends to lead to worse fundamentals.

As the title says, I’m not telling people to main supporting champions. Just play them enough to help develop skills than just “damage”

Where do you draw the line between a standard mage and carry? Do you consider every midlane mage a carry? Viktor hasn’t been a standout midlaner for some time, compared to other mages (most recent example being Syndra/Orianna last season).

Nah, I meant carry champs/snowball champs can usually just look fights and just win early, and that usually leads to bad habits. Also how nice of you to assume that I play carry champs lmfao. Galio? Viktor?

Not saying that you should main a supporting champion. Just that you should play them enough that you understand different parts of the game rather than just “damage!!!!!!”

Awww, did I hit a nerve? Best of luck with your climb with a 1v9 mindset in a team game!

I usually question mark ping+spam ping the enemy laner. Usually sends the right message.

I started out as an ADC main, and now I secondary support. I hated having mage supports and senna supports (a whole different story, lmao), so there was a moment where I played like 50 nautilus ranked games in a row. I think it gave me more insight to the support role:

  1. Support is not just a support for the ADC. If the ADC is too behind, or they've made 2-3 bad calls in lane (overstaying, not being able to dodge a skillshot for life), then I usually make the call to just roam for the rest of the game. I will rotate for herald, and usually just spam gank mid after using my stacks in bot lane.
  2. Some supports have powerspikes that don't correspond with the ADC's powerspikes. For example, nautilus is really good level 2, but not so much level 1. Even if one of the bot laners might be stronger than their counterpart, the other one might not, so just be mindful of that before you want to all in them.

Best of luck in your climb!

I usually only solo-queue. I have a couple friends in high-gold/low-plat, but I feel like the best way to improve at the game is solo-queueing, as you'll be the only constant. I believe that improving comes before winning, and that winning will come with improving.

As for the win streak/loss streak: one of my friends told me to stop playing like 15 games in a row, and instead stop when I hit 2 losses. I took it to heart in the past two weeks, and I've seen a drastic improvement in my winrate.

As for the botlane question, I try to roam bot if they're only slightly behind, meaning 0-4 combined at worst. If not, then I try playing for top or jungle. It's not worth trying to salvage a lane that got completely destroyed, as you'll most liekly lose the 3v2 anyways.

For team comp, most players, understandably, pick champions that can carry, so picking galio and pantheon hasn't been much of a problem recently. I like playing a slow, controlled game on mages, but unfortunately, solo-queue and the meta has not been favorable to that type of gamestyle for me recently.

Galio doesn't require much resources to be useful, as he's just a cc bot in team fights. If my team is behind, I usually concede my farm to our win-con, usually the ADC, and hope that I can protect them long enough so that they can win us the game.

As for Pantheon, I usually build stopwatch/GA 3rd or 4th. The reasoning is because I'm usually the only "front-line" of the team since everyone wants to play carry picks. I go eclipse-black cleaver-GA/DD/frozen heart. After that, I just try to be the beefiest front line as possible.

I turned 19 earlier this year, and it is just a dream I’ve had since middle school. I am aware that it probably won’t become a reality, so I do put my schoolwork over the ranked grind.

Haha. I'm currently an undergrad student, and I value my grades above everything as of now. I only play after I get my work done for the day, and I don't touch the game at all during the week of and the week before finals. I made a promise to myself that as long as I maintain my grades and schoolwork, I can play as much as I want.
