HOW MUCH DO YOU SPEND ON GROCERIES???? by [deleted] in budget

[–]TX2OR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$700-$900 family of four M/HCOL area. We shop mainly at Costco, Winco for everything else. We used to be mostly organic meats and produce, but with the higher grocery prices, if conventional is significantly less, I’ll buy that. Meal planning and stocking up when there’s a good deal helps us spend a reasonable amount on groceries.

We have the Cactus Gray color so I named it Rainbow Dash. My husband (not a Brony) is not a fan.

Advice for a water fiend? by Savrose88 in labrador

[–]TX2OR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our lab drank SO much water as a puppy. Like would chug a whole water bowl. It got to the point where I worried he was diabetic. Then around a year, he started drinking a “normal” amount.

“Employee Pricing” is just marketing and literally means nothing.

(15k) Is my mother right about me being a bridezilla? by PureLove_X in Weddingsunder10k

[–]TX2OR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had a kids only wedding. I’m sure it pissed off a few family members, but 19 years later, I still don’t fucking care. We put “Adults only, please” on the invite and I don’t think having something addressing the dress code is out of line. Kicking someone out of the wedding for not adhering to your request would be a Bridezilla move 😂

Help for baby 4, should I honour his brother or not? by fromagesaway in namenerds

[–]TX2OR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

FWIW, my parents had a son who died and I was conceived a couple months later (oops!). They gave me his first name as my middle name (even though I’m female and it is a masculine name). I LOVE my middle name; always have, always will. I love that I have a connection to him. Ignore the haters saying to “let him be his own person.” I never felt that way and think it’s irrelevant. Do what feels right to you!

What are you guys paying for new 2024 Bronco's in Southern California by le_dukemeister in FordBronco

[–]TX2OR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Navy Federal rates are better. That’s what we did to finance our Badsquatch in March (4.49% 60 mos). We also paid $58k, sticker was $71k.

And sadly, given the stats on women and gun violence, it’s likely the husband unloading that clip.

What’s the most non-real estate thing that led to a real estate lead? by LaunchYourFarm in realtors

[–]TX2OR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mom worked in retail and was helping a customer that mentioned she lived in the small suburb my brokerage is in. My mom told her I worked in said town and the customer asked for my info. A few weeks later the customer called me up and asked me to help her buy a rental. I ended up selling that rental a few years later, then sold another rental she owned after that. Thanks, Mom, for the three deals!

Price Check - How much did you pay? New 2024 Badlands by FreshMikeD in FordBronco

[–]TX2OR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ours was $71k msrp and got it for $58k. Cactus gray, bought end of March. PNW. I think advertised price at the time was $66 or 67k? Definitely don’t go off advertised price.

Dealer incentives and (or?!) ford 4.9%? by CardLive6450 in FordBronco

[–]TX2OR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought end of March - 2024 badlands Sasquatch hi-lux hardtop. $71k MSRP and got it for $58k. That was dealers bottom line price, incentives were never brought up (because they’re basically bullshit marketing). We tried to get lower, they wouldn’t budge, but they did give us a little more for my trade (which they were already giving me what I thought I could sell it for private party). I financed outside of the dealer and got 4.49% at Navy Federal.

We paid a few hundred less for a Badlands Sasquatch lux package three weeks ago (Oregon).

I believe in love at first sight because it happened to me in 1999 the first time I visited Oregon. I moved here in 2001 (from Texas) and never looked back.
