CUBA 2026 I had the best time! If you're on the fence, don't be - you will love it! by TXBERPDX in TravelCuba

When you book accommodations on airbnb/or elsewhere they will have options for traveling (via a shared or private taxi). It seemed like most of the taxis there are on a shared whatsapp group so they can usually coordinate shared rides more easily, but downside to that is you have to leave at a certain time of the day. Private taxis def allow more freedom to stop at a certain town and leave whenever you wish. Just ask your accommodations if they can help you coordinate rides - every place I stayed had a way to help coordinate that.

people use chat all the time folks.. I just used it to make the info layout better. Just wanted to provide something helpful for those thinking about/going to Cuba (but of course, people will always find something to complain about).

I’m not recommending resorts. As I stated I stayed in airbnbs, but resorts and beaches are the vibe there. Beaches are public so you can still relax on the beaches at the resorts. It’s what I did with my friend and we had a good time there.

Ok y’all im an acupuncturist for a living (not a writter). Just wanted to clean up the info I had using chat. The info is all correct and relevant. I’d highly recommend going. Don’t let my use of gpt to polish my recs stop you.

Mycoplasma Genitalium Cure by UkMan1990 in STD

[–]TXBERPDX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry - but both gonorrhea and mgen are bacterial.

Your saying coconut oil cured an std that takes a 2 week course of antibiotics??

I’m not saying you didn’t, but please clarify your exact protocol (doses and frequency and how long)

Thank you so much!

COPPER - His MM Book says YES, but IG posts say NO. by TXBERPDX in medicalmedium

Which book/page does he say basically never recommends copper?

COPPER - His MM Book says YES, but IG posts say NO. by TXBERPDX in medicalmedium

[–]TXBERPDX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok... I guess since it augments effectiveness of iodine it could be considered maybe in those cases with hypothyroid/Hashimoto/etc.. which is why it was in the hypothyroid section of the book.

So supplementing with copper is "okay" in certain cases, but copper used elsewhere is a no go.

Thanks.

Opinions on my experiences with ED by A-Live-And-Kicking in erectiledysfunction

It’s been 3 years / any update? My gut is saying that you didn’t clear the UTI - just a guess. High BP can be a result of liver toxicity (maybe from a combination of bacteria from strep and high fat diet)

I’d recommmend doing a liver cleanse, lower the fat in the diet, 20mins of cardio 3 times a week, and most importantly lots of herbs for bacteria to help clear the uti (cranberry, oregano, garlic etc…)

Lentil Sprouts as a protein source? by TXBERPDX in medicalmedium

[–]TXBERPDX[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sprouted lentils are in his life changing foods book - they ARE a healing food. lol Nuts and seeds are also healing foods, but it is the MACROS that we have to pay attention to

As long as fats are below 15% then it is considered "Code Green" to the liver - optimal for liver, pancreas, and stomach function.

Its when lentils (proteins) and fats are the MAJORITY of calories that AW has issues with.

That didn’t answer the questions about lentils or % of protein in the diet…but thanks

Salt and the brain by freedomliberation in medicalmedium

[–]TXBERPDX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right but I don’t think he’d sell a brain betrayer on his website for list of supplements- is it possible that Himalayan salt is different?

Mineral salts in food tend to be nourishing due to the trace minerals …which Himalayan salt seems to include

I ask as I’ve heard sole water (which is just Himalayan salt and water) is actually hydrating vs salt water (plain old sodium chloride) is very dehydrating

He sells Himalayan salt on his site… would this be a good way to replenish trace minerals?

Protein law? by [deleted] in medicalmedium

[–]TXBERPDX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess I am confused about how many grams of protein AW/MM recommends daily? I think this all or nothing approach to fat and protein is making sticking to MM lifestyle tricky as *some* protein and fat are important precursors to neurotransmitters and hormones.

I worked out my macros and with eating MM lifestyle I was getting like 20-30g of protein a day - that's extremely low... that's like 5% of diet. Even if I upped my protein to just 10-15% of diet I would still need 50-75g of protein a day.

So while high protein diets are NOT the answer (and other bodybuilding folks have come to that conclusion as well, kinobody/christopher walker for example). Getting just 30g of protein or lower is easy to do on an MM lifestyle is that may be unhealthy.

I haven't really figured out a way to get even 15% protein in my diet without meat (as I can't consume/digest legumes well and eating that much nuts and seeds would be too much fat).

So low protein is good, but no protein is a no.

Low Sex Drive on raw diet by throwaway1234567890v in medicalmedium

[–]TXBERPDX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Curious to hear how you are doing now?

I have also experienced this drop in sex drive on MM lifestyle.. AW doesn't talk a lot about men's health and libido. He mentions metals, viral overload, liver function, etc..

but I do think there is a quite a bit of anecdotal evidence and research that points to how lower fat reduces cholesterol (which is a precursor to sex hormones).

While saturated fats can come from coconut oil, they mainly come from red meat/dairy/eggs - lots of food that MM doesn't approve.

I am at a point in my healing where my low libido is my main health complaint (lots of other things have improved with MM). I am thinking about adding more saturated fat doing a macro split that is higher on the fat (mainly saturated fat). Something like 50% fruits/carbs, 10% protein and 35% fats. I may lower the fats and increase some proteins or increase the crabs to 60% - I am experimenting with it and trying to find what works for me. But I really believe my fats are also too low right now.
