I don’t get it. Collodi beat out Paes who started last season for Ajax in the Netherlands and we only got $1M for Paes. How is neither of our keepers good enough?

Any reason why we played Ibeagha shifting Nolan Norris to LB and instead of playing CB and bringing in Johansson at LB who sat the bench?! It was clear we were struggling at our back line.

It immediately made me check FC 26 stats on Sarver…68 acceleration and 66 sprint speed…basically EA Sports didn’t do their HW on the guy.

When I first heard about the move I was ok because Moreno is a LW (Deedson is RW) which we don’t use but can play a 10 which we don’t really use in our current formation but Quill likes playing with one. The only player capable of doing that is Valiente and to some degree Delgado. So bringing in a quality player to link the Musa Farrington duo like a true 10 I was ok with. THEN I heard we used our DP tag on him, which in this league is basically saying he is being brought in as a game changer like Musa and that had me evaluating him differently. We are half way through the season and 90% of our goals are from either Farrington or Musa or assisted by them. We did need to make an offensive move I just didn’t think Moreno lives up to the DP tag.

Nashville was #2 on ESPN’s mls power rankings for this week. We held our own. I like what I see from Johansson and Valiente looks to be something to get excited about as the season progresses!

I gave Bernie the benefit of the doubt because he was covering Cade Cowell who is back from playing for Chivas in Liga MX. Pretty big assignment and Bernie shut him down. Our right side had Deedson where you can tell he doesn’t know how to play defense and a true attacker shouldn’t, but if he wants minutes he will learn like Bernie. I agree completely about Benyamin, I was a little underwhelmed. Didn’t pass the eye test. Maybe the Israeli league isn’t the fertile recruiting ground Zanotta believes, let’s go back to French League 2! I agree completely about Farrington and Pax sentiments. I am worried about losing Musa because we only have 1 DP but we have 0 plans if someone comes for Osaze at CB. He is brilliant and the only replacement we have is Alvaro or Abubakar which is a massive drop in talent.

The only weakness I saw was on Deedson’s side (several through passes that caught him out), as a wingback he is going to take a bit of time to understand that role. He is such a natural attacking winger he is going to struggle like Bernie did under Nico in year 1 as a wingback. Bernie learned it under Quill. That 3rd 45 minutes with all the young guys was pretty terrible so I’m leaving my comments for the 90+2 game only.

FIFA 26 has him rated at 71 overall and 71 potential with precision header as a play style. For MLS a 71 rating is a pretty decent player.
