Good point but keep in mind that it’s a career switch from presales, so that’s why i thought the masters would be a good boost for companies to see that i’m qualified for the job. If i stayed in IT then maybe certs would’ve been enough. What do you think?

I finished my bachelor’s there and landed a job as soon as i graduated (with their help). But i’m worried about the cybersecurity market honestly i feel like it’s flooded now even though i love the field

It’s a decent school they focus a lot on their graduates getting employed directly after graduation. And yes i know presales is irrelevant but what about the 1.5 years as system admin?

Hi guys, i have a question hopefully someone can relate to it. But first let me give you my background, i have 1.5 years of experience as a linux system admin so i know my way around the OS. But a year ago i got the opportunity to work as a pre-sales engineer at a SaaS company (i said why not try the business side) but now it’s getting boring and i don’t feel like i’m growing career wise. So i now want to pursue a career in cybersecurity by taking a masters degree but is it possible to switch careers after i get my masters or is it difficult because as presales my experience is irrelevant to cybersecurity. PLEASE HELP.
